Thread: Please fill me in...

Ok went to TC-5 and looked at the skill tree. I wanted to know whats the deal. It looks exactly the same as before. Are the specials fixed this time? Is that what SL is going to be?


Fact is i have been following the SL boards for MONTHS I have seen tons of good suggestions on what we want for skills and what role we want to see our prof be. and NONE Of those suggestions were "keep it exactly the way it is just fix the boxes" So what i want to know is. Is there still more to come? or do the devs really just dont listen to a damn thing we say and we have all wasted our time?

Yep, they didn't change anything. But we have 3 weapon certifications, and you must think new settings make SL a usefull support...

Having looked through the SL trees on TC today i worked out that a MSL would get an extra

- Melee Defence +55
- Ranged Defence +55
- General Ranged Accuracy +30
- General Ranged Weapon Speed +15

- Plus the new weapons/armour certs


so are you saying that these arent exact? or that they will change as the beta goes on?

As it stands it looks like we havent lost anything but we've gained some nice new mods and some nice weapon certs. Along with being 1 of only 3 profs allowed to wear assault armour. I realise that the CU isnt a Sl revamp and im fairly happy with what ive seen in the skill boxes, but should i be expecting more in the coming weeks?

Easy, tiger. The reason the SL tree "looks" the same on TC-5 is because this round of testing is focused on the Novice combat experience (Marksman& Brawler). It's actually not the same if you click each box and read the descriptions - not to mention all our new weapon certs, and the Pistol XP requirement. We have gained skill mods, they aren't fleshed out completely cause its not the official SL revamp. What really bugs me is making it pistol and combat xp. I would be happy if it were SL and combat xp but pistol? That alone is not fair to a lot of profession templates and I hope this will change.

The pistol xp is something we are trying to get changed.


Since we have 3 different weapons, its not fair to peg us with just pistol xp.

We ARE still getting a SL revamp after they get the bugs worked out of the CU right? I was under the impression we were next in line after the Smugglers.

you are definitely in queue

hopefully once they release the cu team and the expansion teams they can do mutliple revamps at the same time


currently up for revamp are about 8! professions.

Sounds to me like our SL Revamp is going to get postponed until 7 other professions get revamped..





not saying that at all just saying that soon lots of free devs with time to do revamps and the desire to do them.

Why have you changed xp squad leader to pistol xp and combat xp?

Really hard to get if we are not master pistoleer ...

This will avoid people to have an original template.
There will only have master SL master pistoleer.
