Thread: MASTER SQUAD LEADER LEAVING
I cant take it anymore. This class is such a waste of skill points. I have been master since the first monh and cant take it anymore.
Good luck to you squad leaders who are dumb enough to stay on.
I hope you aren't setting your hopes TOO high for actual fixes to the profession. I don't mean to get all pessimistic on everyone just yet, but realistically all that I'm hoping for in the short term is to try to get the Developer's overall viewpoint on Squad Leader so that we can determine what changes we can expect. For me, it's not so much about when we'll get fixed, but WHAT we'll get fixed...I've already gotten used to waiting.
That said, the devs track record has been very unpredictable. Our profession aside, whilethere are some fixes and additions that have taken far longer than anticipated...some others have come a lot more quickly than expected as well. I wouldn't want to even guess if people will like the upcoming changes as much as SOE would like us to, but I can say that there are some signifigant changes coming down the pike. ...One or more, in particular, DO have the potential to affect Squad Leaders... Naturally, I'm not allowed to comment about unreleased changes, but Test Center is a great crystal ball for seeing into the future of SWG.
HAM and fail rates are easy enough to do. That sort of thing could be put into a hotfix by tomorrow. The difficult part is convincing the developers that it SHOULD be done.
Big revamps likethe Creature Handler restructuringtake a lot more foresight, planning and (*ahem* keyword to follow) TESTing... Keep your eyes peeled and your mind open and you might be able to see some upcoming changes--the effect on Squad Leader may not be clear at first, butI can see a potential.
That's all I'm gonna say before I get myself in trouble. ![]()
Generally speaking, changes made on Test Center will go live with the next "Monthly Publish"
Critical issues (like we saw with Squad Leader XP) can be hotfixed within a day or two... They like to send them to Test Center to make sure everything works like it's supposed to before it goes live, but with so few people playing on TC sometimes things get missed. That's why Thunderheart is trying to find more reasons for people to play on Test Center.
The current incentives for playing on Test Center: 1. Up to 3 characters per account. 2. Special in-game events and demonstrations with the developers and CSRs. 3. "Giveaway" events like free mounts that last a week to let you try them out...Something similar is planned for vehicles. 4. Coming Soon: A Character Copy service!
Actually, they're on already. The giveaway vendors aren't placed just yet, however.
Go check them out. Purrrrty kewl. ![]()
