Over the past month i have been PvP'ing non-stop and i just want to say that, SL's do make a difference in combat. On the Bria galaxies imperials basicly own PvP, and a rebel group decided to drop a base, and for multiple nights we had to shutdown, and i can honestly tell you we would not have been able to stop it, had I not used /retreat to give my group a burst run, also the TN helps out a bunch to people whose templates dont allow to have scout.

Well thats just my .02 and just saying SL's arent worthless, because now the very best rebel PvP'ers on bria want me in there groups, and im not a very good combatant, so they must want my SL skills... just thought i would share, dont really PvE much so cant say how much SL's help there

In PvE your grandest ability is to be able to use rally to prevent everyone in your group from sitting down

Kidding, there are quite a few bonuses to PvE too of course, the trouble is just that they are too insignificant in the stand-up-and-tank fights that most PvE fights are. If you're on the Corvette for instance, I'm quite sure the spot a SL would take could be better used by a commando or a BH :/

I just wish it would show the SL bonuses like buffing bonuses and eating bonuses... It'd make me feel better being able to see them there =)

Squad Leaders can win a battle in PvP. I've been an MSL since July, if you know how to use it SL is more important then a CM in PvP.

SL is very helpful in pvp.

no dizzy

no stun

no dizzykd

infinite burst run for your melee to catch kiters or you can get away faster.

+30 ranged and melee d. everyone benefits especially your groups defense stackers their defenses can go up to +155.

+50 terrain nego so you can catch people running up hill or outrun them.

boost morale you can boost morale so CMs can continue mind heals and then if the group has TKMs meditating or dancer dancing somwhere you boost morale again and no one has wounds.

and revamp might make us even better. hope it does )

It is true, SL's sway a battle. But let us also not forget that most of our skills are useless to ourselves. Now I know we are for a group. Granted. But initiating a /retreat and then being left behind is a bit disheartening. Let us also not forget that while we may clear dizzy from others, we ourselves are in quite a mess if dizzied. We cannot form ourselves up, nor others while dizzied. Therefore if one ranged unit manages to use an area dizzy and hit me, I'm useless for a bit (because other commands are invalidated by the dizzy).

Let us also not forget that for the skill points we use, we're handicapped at login. Say I'm overtafter logging in. I see one Overt rushing at me as my covert status is up. I have not had the time to gather a group and even if I did manage to get one person grouped with me, it won't be to my benefit with whoever it is attacking me. I'm for the most part half a profession short. All well and dandy since I am a group supporter, but some benefits to myself that allow me more survival power would at least be warranted.

I know a special that would be cool for SL. Electrobonoculer Knockdown whould work the same as a knockdown attack but you pull out B-nocks and smash your opponents head with them.

Very good points, but im saying in general we are of very big help to our group/squad... just wish the bonus's would work on us.. nothings worse then sending a /retreat to catch a kiter in theed, and im stuck in the back when like 10 other guys declare

Exactly my point. Here's another example, more recent.

True story, happened last night.

I'm out hunting some tuskens when low and behold 2 overts come attacking me. I think "Eh I've got some good TN, so I can just run around til I'm clear." So yours truely bursts and runs through some high mountains. Sure enough I start to lose the two. Oh, but wait, here one of them comes, bursting after me. Fine, we play. I keep running til he wears out and I wear out. At a nice jog I notice he's bursting again.....and again....and again. Then I saw that his partner was shouting the /retreat command...I knew it was over. And I myself as a SL couldn't /retreat over and over for the bonus or to save my own arse. Pity isn't it?

Hense the idea of a really nice defensive move for the Squade Leader that isn't to out of balance and that will not be like Feign death to the smuggler and be abused. However, I know better then this
