Thread: Another SS and another potential baning of a SL

This is almost the exact spot and the exact actions that Sabrinna was doing when she was banned! There is one difference, Sabrinna was not AFK like this SL was. Now here is a SS of what the SL was doing and where the SL was when she got banned!
Either this SL needs to get banned (which I do not want to see and will only further infuriate the player base) Or Sabrinna needs to get unbanned!

You really are stupid aren't you boy. The reason Nexican was banned was because he has the shortest temper known to man and doesn't back down from any childish word slinging.

Well, that kind of spamming looks to be much too excessive. I dont see time stamps on the text so i cant be so sure, but if you are spamming stuff that much its kind of rediculous.
I have a macro that uses retreat every 20 seconds AND CHANGES THE SHOUTED TEXT. I only use formup if someone in my group becomes dizzied or stunned, i dont run it on a macro. The worst one would have to be /steadyaim though because you have to reinitiate it after every shot to get its benefits, so I use it whenever my squad first enters combat and only a couple times then. I have had one complaint by some guy who didn't know that it was a SL command that was doing it and thought it was me just spamming like an idiot.

in game macros are 100% in compliance with the policies of SOE. I believe afk macros are 100% in compliance with the policies of SOE.
How often a professions spmas ANYTHING is their business and there's alone. SOE has a design / mechanic flaw that results in the spamming of the SL commands, as you are aware. Never has there been any mention of a "limit" or "area" as to where, how often, what time, or any of that as in regards to a "restrictio" on the usage of a professions specials.
Furthermore, SOE has still refused to answer the question of WHAT IS ACCEPTABLE.
Also, as far as changing the shouted text, your perogative, has no bearing here.
Lastly, what you think looks to be excessive, is hog wash, why you may ask?
NAME ONE OTHER PROFESSION THAT HAS ANY LIMITS TO THE AMMOUNT OF SPECIALS THAT CAN BE SPAMMED CONSECUTIVELY?
You can't. The fact that the SL is FORCED to spam in spatial is not the player base's fault, it is the design teams fault.
Don't hold a profession or player responsible for the design flaws that are in-game.
There is no justification for the actions that were taken. The CSR ran across a guy that did not back down and was doing NOTHING WRONG, got upset with him and took inaprorpriate actions, bottom line!

if you spam retreat every 20 secs, that is WAY to much.
if you spam form up EVERY time your group gets dizzy that is WAY to much
if you spam aim numerous times at the beginning of a fight that is WAY to much
at least as far as I am concerned

You see the point? Who determines what is to much and what is ok? That is the answer we are trying to get from the CSR's
What is excessive to you may be unacceptable to someone else. What is ok to you may be not ok for someone else.

i understand fully that we cannot control how often we need to use our abilities, but never in the history of Squad leadership have i seen someone pour commands out that fast. If there were timestamps on that it would be like this:
00:24:25 /formup
00:24:26 /retreat
00:24:27 /steadyaim
00:24:29 /formup
00:24:30 /steadyaim
00:24:31 /formup
Thats too often IMHO, pouring out enough commands that they still stay above your head threefold after you have said them. Even vs. a large imperial squad I have yet to have enough of a problem to have to spam /formup more than 3 times in a minute. The retreat using every 20 seconds is fine because its a permanent burstrun for your group which helps out a lot vs. kiters and force running jedi. I dont use boostmorale until after diseases have eaten the group up quite a bit. But in all respects, i find spamming like in that screenshot ludicrous. Especially since you say that person was AFK. If that was a macro it wouldnt be allowed anyways because it would flood spatial chat, and since the macro is running and is using formup even when group members arent dizzy its useless to run it and that is a valid reason to complain about its use.

Once again you are incorrect as for what you perceive that to look like.
I did not take that screen Shot i was meerly using it as an example. The character who took that SS has the option in their options menu to determins how LONG spatial bubbles stay on screen. Who knows what this character's was set at. Impossible to tell from theses SS.
Also, you can make a macro that changes what you say for the same command, i.e. a looping macro that changes the spatial appearnce of form up.
Most likely that was what was going here.
For all we know this toon could have had a 30 sec spatial bubble option (i believe this is default) set and the words changing for the form up command due to that being the only one that needs to be spammed.
As far as you only need to spam the form up command 3 times a minute, well then you are either fighting incompetant peeps with poor templates for GROUP PvP or you don't pay attention to what is going on. For example, one carb king can spam area dizzies ALL DAY LONG, TKM's more often than not, in a group will have 1 spamming state efeects and another KDing, etc. etc. etc. The list goes on.
Every time my group fights and our carb king is on ALL HE DOES IS SPAM AREA DIZZIES. The group we are fighting, if they have no SL will all eventually end up on ther backs, and stay there!
So maybee you need to go fight some real PvP'rs, not that i am one, but i am familiar with what works in groups and what does not!
Now back to this screen shot, in reality if the toon that took the pic had the default settings for spatial bubbles the spam you see is once every 7.5 secs. A screen shot of spatial represents a 30 sec photo. 30 seconds divided by 4 commands = 1 command used every 7. 5 secs. Also figure in the change of spatial shout for the same command and maybee you can grasp this!

Apparently that was in theed so if those were 7.5 seconds apart from each other during prime pvp hours when afk merchants are rampant and other spammers are running about asking to buy things, sell things, slice things.. I would expect to see at least one other yell command within that.. Maybe you can grasp that? Or maybe you can come over to kettemoor and watch some fights there. People who abuse the ability to just constantly spam SL commands dont deserve to be in this game.

that squad leader was not afk and the reason it was there was cause she was inviting people to the group
and she wasn't banned either
so we cant have ours in town to invite people but you can?

This SS poped up and i was using to show where Sabrinna was when she ran into problems, that is all. A lot of peeps were not comprehending where she was, etc. Nothing more nothing less.
If she was not afk then i am sorry for alleging that, I was told she was, so accept my appologies on that.

No prob Rupert, i am sure you guys want this to go away as bad as we do. Our purpose is definately in no way meant to cause you or your group probs. We tried to rally the community to get this adressed to no avail, so we are running outta options in how to tackle this problem.
Bottom line, at this point anything that draws attention to it is good, because that seems to be the only way to get peeps to respond and demand answers.
