There was a recent patch update on Test Center that deals with solo grouping. Mind you, this is only on Test Center right now as this could very well be eliminated when it goes to live. I wanted to post it here because solo grouping does affect us in a way:

Heya Folks!
Here's some more lovin' =)
UpdateNotes: Test Center - November 9, 2004
Version: 104456.105132
Version: 104456.105132
Grouping
- We changed the way group payouts for missions are calculated. When a mission is generated, the reward payout per member is calculated based on the current size of the group. If the group shrinks in size or group members aretoo far away to receive payout, those that do get paid receive the original per member reward. For example, if 3 players take a mission that pays 12k credits, each player will receive a maximum of 4k credits when the mission is completed. They receive 0 if they are out of range, and less if more people are added to the group to complete the mission.
- Added 'Show Group Waypoints' in-game option.
- Group members' active waypoints now appear in a 'Group Waypoints' tab in the datapad.
- Fixed a bug where you could target yourself and form a group of one
- Fixed problem where if you are in a group, you sometimes don't receive your mission reward

Apparently, there has been some mixed feelings about this new change. Personally, I like it. However, this would also create a bigger gap between the rich and poor because the rich are already wealthy while the poor would have a harder time catching up.

Yeah, I saw that.
I agree, I have mixed feelings about this. It's gonna make getting money as a non-crafter REALLY hard, and drive people to profs like Creature Handler so they can get their mission level up (so they can get Mokk missions solo on the terminals).
Overall, it seems like it will destroy groups. But, it means that all the groups left will be actual groups and not "solo groups". So I dunno, have to think about this for a while.

Great thing they did. As for the wealth gap. The poor weren't running in solo-groups anyway.

Also notice that pets no longer play a part in mission levels, unless you are a creature handler.
No more AT-ST mission boosts.

Although the Test Center players were saying that it was still letting them get the higher missions with an ATST (although they did get half the money for being grouped with one other thing). Overall, it looks like a good change. But they do need to be careful with it.

I agree, caution is the keyword here. We're talking about a radical change in the way people get their income. Maybe they should give out better payoffs for people who are in groups as an incentive to grouping.

Did some testing myself... and it is true. AT-STs still give a boost to missions.

I agree with your statement. If the devs are gonna do something this radical, high group payouts should be put in place. For the rich players, this new "fix" will affect them. But for players, like me, who live day-to-day on what little creds I have, and still have fun, this won't affect at all.
IMO, it seems SL's got some "unexpected love", and I hope to see SL's become a high demand again for hunting. Personally, I missed having SL's around for hunting, and I'll be glad to see ya'll back out there.

Pets do still give better missions, though I'm not sure if this is for CHs or for everyone.
This will definetly cause widespread deflation, wich I think out economy could afford.

Assuming that there aren't as many rich people as I think there are and that artisans will lower their prices to cater to the new income drop, then yes I think we could survive this. I hope we do

Oh it WILL affect you if the artisans drop their prices because of the new grouping system (which seems likely), but it's a good change heh.

And thats IF the artisans drop their prices... But all in all I says its about bloody time a fix came along for solo-grouping.

On Chilly many docs base their buff prices on how much a player can actually make in that time doing solo group missions(around 15-20k for a doc buffing in Mining Outpost on Dant). If the buff docs don't roll with this change in the economy only wealthy players will be able to get buffed which will hurt pve and pvp. So I guess we'll have to wait and see what they decide to do.
