Thread: Did the Devs Fixed the Rally Command??
Hey since last patch ive tried to use Rally about 10 time (yesterday night)
Guess what.... i didnt miss once
wow now every times i call for Rally... my squad get the flag right away
im impress... now i only have know what this rally exactly do... like how much my defence is pump and the hit modifyer... how much does it actually modify
True its damage was minimal, but it is VERY, VERY useful (in fact probably THE most underrated skill) because of the following scenario - which I have encountered countless times.
When you go hunt on dangerous planets, or congested planets like Dathomir/Lok, while leading a big group, someone will bound to get aggro'ed on. What I immediately do is turn around, find the target, and immediately rally fire on the aggro monster.
What this does is it instantly makes everyone target the creatures. No, the damage is weak, BUT the PCs will recognize we have a target and they'll take it from there by raping the **edit**.
Without rally fire, the squad leader will have to turn around, start firing while typing some messages. By the time the group responds (yes there are people who couldn't catch on as fast out there), the person being aggroed could be half dead, could be incapped, or worst yet could be dead.
So there you go, rally fire as it is now, is to grab your group's attention, not to deal massive damage. It also works quite well when you guys can't decide who to target first - SL gets the say that way.
That is if rally fire would work everytime, like form up.
*grabs book*
Rally fire not there......maybe you mean volley fire?
Got it mixed up with rally too much, heh
lol mouhahah sorry man but i was reading your thing and said to myself **edit** is he talking about... this look like volley fire not rally
hehe rally is the thing you do to boost your team defence and modify your hit modifier so you are suppose to get less damage but
what are the exact stats... when i do rally what do i really do... boost defence by 5%???? 10%???? where can i KNOW THOSE STUFF
and my hit modifier what does it really do 1/100 chance of a miss on me?? or -5 on the result (like if normally the guy have a +15 on me... now he only get +12???
btw... its ok sephiroso... ill reme, ber that when ill have to choose between volley fire and some other **edit**
... thx for the tip
plz i really need to know what it really does
and yeah since the commando patch, i never missed 1 rally and did alot of those

Only thing I've ever seen rally do is get groupmates angry that they can't sit/craft/do anything while its in effect.
oh now i co,mpletely agree with you
everytimes i do a rally... no one can harvest, craft, sit... things like that seems more like a disease then a ++
This goes for everything the SL does right now. Volley Fire is the biggest dissapointment in the entire useless arsenal of the SL so far. How in the world does making my group fire at the same opponent make them more capable of taking down difficult Creatures / NPC's more efficiently? Do the developers not realize that more then 99% of the time your fighting 2-9 things at the same time? Concentrating all your fire on one thing will drop that one enemy faster, but you still have the others chomping away at your hide.
Now, if Volley Fire COMBINED the strength of your groups attacks into one explosion of fire, then yes Volley Fire would allow us to take down NPC's / Creatures more efficiently, but as it is this is just a thing that fails alot and doesn't mean anything in the end.
And I'm failing Rally more often then not still...

Is it possible that Rally might fail because someone in your group is crafting while running or doing some other thing that they can't do with Rally on? Did that make sense?
BTW I think the Volley fire tip is a good one for initiating combat on something that aggros you. I would just be concerned about being to closse to the original lair and then pulling the rest of them after you.
Oh, well,
