Not sure if this has been posted before - Wanted people´s idea´s for some cool macros ..

ill post a few here , so give all the idea

1 :

You proberly need this macro if u want totapa lair

Make something like this :

/sys - I will start tapping the lair - everyone stand ready for spawned creatures !

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2 :

Made this macro - cuz it´s very annoying if everyone starts shooting at a Untapped lair - My oppinion is the SL taps the lair for mobs - and then use this macro when its completly tapped

/sys Destroy the [ %TT ] on my Count of 3

/pause 5

/sys ------[ 1 ]------

/pause 2

/sys ------[ 2 ]------

/pause 2

/sys ------[ 3 ]------

/sys OPEN FIRE !

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3 :

If your a guy who likes to setup groups on endor etc. make some basic rules by doing that u let everyone know that they need to follow your commands and no one elses ....

/sys Basic rules comming up - Listen up people !

/pause 10

/sys Rule 1 : ( Your rules )

/pause 10

/sys Rule 2 : ( Your rules )

/pause 10

/sys Rule 3 : ( Your rules )

/pause 10

/sys Rule 4 : ( Your rules )

/pause 10

/sys Rule 5 : Proberly something like : Remember to have fun - and don´t die

Some good rules to mention : You tap the lairs - No one shoots at any lairs unless you tell em to do ..

People needs to follow your rules , or they will be kicked cause u dont want your Squad to Wipe on a stupid Lair that pops out 20 mobs cause everyone is shooting at the lair

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is just a few of many - Plz people let me see some nice macro´s so everyone can benefit of them =)

Excuse my Spelling - English isn´t my main language

Good luck

Ohhh, I really like the countdown macro! Gives you a predictable, reliable cadence. Using that everytime should quickly get everyone accustomed to open firing in unison.

%TT is the best thing for a macro ever

I made up a bunch of %TT macros early on, but don't use them as much as I'd like

-------------------------------------------

On my #2 hotbar (Switch quickly to with ctrl-F2):

F1) /sysgroup Charge!

F2) /sys Attack: %TT

F3) /sys Assist %TT

F4) /sys Regroup at my position (I find this to be very useful, since they can see me as a diff colored dot on the radar, they usually come running quick)

F5) /sys Heal %TT

F6) /sys First Aid to %TT

F7) blank

F8) /sys Fall Back!!

(F9-F12) I standardized across all 6 hotbars (Healself macro, Stimpack B for healing others, /peace, /burstrun)

It works out well to press Ctrl-F2,F2, Ctrl-F1 (main attack bar) to call out a target in the middle of battle and get right back to my special attacks bar so as to not miss a beat.

----------------------------------------------------

nowadays I usually just use the color alias I need and type out what I want done:

/rr = red /sysmessage (for urgent or attack messages)

/bb = blue (for out of battle messages, like "Throw a camp now")

/gg = green (for screwing with their heads like "Congratulations you have now opened your Force Sensitive Slot!" )

/oo = orange (for on the move messages, like "Turn North now", orange tends to stand out a little better against diverse backgrounds)

----------------------------------------------------

What I need to do is go back to my original macros and add some color to make them pop (and toadd your macros too)

Thanks,

These function well as aliases as well. Is there a guild to Alias creation somewhere? I've been able to make some basic ones, but understand that the scripting can get pretty detailed. I'd like to have an alias that automatically throws traps at what I've just asked others to attack.

is this all ? Come on ppl =) let me see some macros so people can benefit from em =)

Macros is importent for a SL - without them , we can´t expect people to do what is told and not die

Not to forget the

/sys Attention soldiers, /#999900 %TT /#ffffff is leading to the next waypoint, follow him until he declares the target
/follow %TT

and

/sys Attention soldiers, /#999900 %TT /#ffffff is taking /#ff0000 enemy fire /#ffffff, return to assist
/assist %TT

I like the countdown 'designated target' macro.. think I'll implement it too

I spent some time fooling with my Macros. I had a discussion with my friend about them and we agree that macros shouldn't try to do too many things with one keystroke. They become limited and useless. Taht said, here are a few of my suggestions.

Current favorite: (I can't take credit for this one) /warningshot; /pause 1, /peace

Now when you are doing Crowd control you won't immediately attack the beast again and will give it a chance to leave the battle so you kill it after you get it's friends.

I treid the countdown thing, but found that I didn't like waiting everytime to give the attack order, particularly since I usually like to send my pet in first anyway. So, I made some aliases (amazingly easy actually) first and then turned a couple of them into hotkeys.

Aliases:

first some color commands as listed in previous posts: /rr= red /yy=yellow /aq=aquas /bb=blue (I had to jimmy with the #ffffff numbers to figure out the colors, but it's not hard) syntax= /alias rr /sys \#ff0000

"blastem" /alias blastem /sys \rr SEND %TT TO HELL!!!!

"cd" (countdown) /alias cd /rr 3.....; /pause 2; /rr 2....; /pause 2; /rr 1......; /pause 2; /rr FIRE!!!!!

Then I made an "on my command macro"= /rr ATTACK %TT on my command

now I can use these in any combination depending on the circumstances. I can also use 'blastem' by typing /blas or /blast, but I made a macro out of that one for ease. I left the Countdown as an aliase becasue it's only 2 letters and I rarely use it anyway.

I think the color I used in this demo was red, but use any color you want. My troops also told me it's easier to read my command words when they are capitalized, so I'll capitalize, "Attack", but not, "on my command." Again, personal preference.

Once I figured out how to do aliases, I made about a dozen. They are so fun. like this one: /alias heman /yy By the Power of Grayskull...I....HAVE....THE....POWER!!!!!!

MORE:

I also made a crowd control alias: CC. If you organize your group in such a way that some members are strictly in charge of Crowd control, use this line:

/alias cc /yy CROWD CONTROL: %TT.

We usually call it WSing, but I figured "Crowd Control" is the most generally accepted term.

Occamz

P.S. Heres a post I saw on the Guides forum that is really cool too (you may recognize the tip from my last post, but credit where credit is due I always say):

Combat macro for breaking the 'TAB' target cycle and targetting the nearest enemy:

/ui action untarget;/ui action cycleTargetOutward;

Combat macro to prevent following up a Warning Shot and pulling the mob back:

/warningShot;/pause 1;/peace; ( note for very fast weapons use /pause 0.75 )

Expanded Warning Shot macro for use when grouped:

/group Warning Shot on %TT;/warningShot;/pause 1;/peace; ( there's nothing worse than 2 people trying to Warning Shot the same mob and having the effect cancelled out by each other. note this is of limited use when fighting hordes of the same mob )

Wow! If this works reliably as billed it will fast become my #1 macro!

I really like these macros. I am having trouble getting the colors to work though. Would some one mind telling an idiot (that would be me) exactly what you need to type to get your /sys message the color you want? I am dieing to tell someone they opened the Force Sensitive slot.

(hehe, people HATE being told they're force sensitive by SLs...not that I've done that myself /whistles innocently)

Some of my most used macros. I colour code them green, red and yellow depending on what they are.

/sys \#00ff33\ Lets saddle up squad, stay together, look sharp. MOVE OUT HUUAA!!!

/sys \#00ff33\ We need to rest and heal our battle wounds, time to secure this area!!!

/sys \#00ff33\ Mission objective complete!! Regroup squad, follow me HUUAAA!!!

/sys \#00ff33\ %TT you're up!!! Cover em squad, and don't fall behind!!!

/sys \#00ff33\ Excellent work squad, all objectives have been met....time to pack up and head home!!!

/sys \#ff0000\ Concentrate all firepower on %TT.

/sys \#ff0000\ Time to send in the tanks on %TT. (CH)

/sys \#ffff00\ %TT is in need of medical attention....MEDIC!!!

I also set some of the abilities:

Steadyaim: Focus squad, use your instincts!!!

Formup: Form up squad, let the mind clear!!!

My guild doc loves the medic one cause it grabs her attention since it is in yellow text, so its pretty easy to read in day or night, and will also. The doc is vital for survival of any hunting party and shouldn't have to wait for cries of the wounded, cause usually it will be too late.

Also I always stay close to our doc or get a tka to protect her while she goes around and heals/res.

Order goes: CH send in the pets, once they take dmg, i use the attack macro and the squad concentrates on the target, repeatif necessary.

I've been doing countless huurton stalker missions on Dantoonie with my guild/squad and I get roughly 3400 SL XP on the stalkers and 5000 on the lair. Usually we can do these in a group of 4 or 5 and have no casualities, well only if a voritor happens to stumble in.
