I recently just got Strategy III (yesterday) but when ever I try to use Volley Fire it says I have to be the Group Leader, and I all ways am. Is this something the DEVs have to fix or is there something I'm not doing right?

i recently got a holocron that said master squad leader so i'm new to this, but bear with me as i'm really enjoying it so far.
in terms of volley fire, this make everyone in the group attack one target? so, lets say i get 19 afk people who want weapon xp in a group with me and i got fight things for awesome SL xp using volley fire so they fire their wimpy hits while i'm spamming specials.
do they all get xp for that?
just wondering. i actually decided to get mobility first since i want the medics in our guild to be able to walk up hills faster when in a guild hunt on dathomir

The thing with /volleyfire is that it forces everyone in your group to shoot at whatever you target - but only once, and only with the regular attack. So it works, it is just that it only does 100-200 damage when you use it.

This is what I don't get about what everyone is saying.
By myself, with my little Tusken Rife (fastest tusken ever seen.
) I do around 250 dmg with a regular shot. If I have a group of, say, 15 people, even allowing for pistoleers (they do small amounts of damage, they just do it over and over and...) It should hit for well over 2k.
Question: Lets say someone in the group just fired their T-21, and you hit /volleyfire, does he not shoot at the target with everyone else? Does the vollyfire wait for him? Is he left out?

When volley fire succeeds everone in the group that is already in combat fires one round at the target. Each person can hit or miss and you can see the results in the combat spam. The attack is an autofire attack. My understanding is that this uses an attack round from all of the people in the volley but I have not been able to verify whether or not they actually lose their next attack round to volleyfire.

I'm a squad leader on the flurry server and I recently learned the volley fire skill and I don't get how it works exactly. Do group members have to be already attacking for it to work? Sometimes it doesn't even seem like it works. I would think that the command can be changed so it initiates combat for everyone (including pets) in the squad so you don't have to call out targets all the time.

Does this work for the squad leader? And if so does the squad leader have to be grouped to use it?

Every single SL-ability requires you to be grouped... volley fire included.

Requires that you be the group leader, it does work though, works quite well even though it can bring down all the hurt on you when you use it.

So when the squad leader is grouped, it doesn't work for him, only the group?
