Thread: Faction Pets and Squadleaders
I think it would be cool ifsquad leaders could
1. Control more troops. Maybe this could go along with the rank of the squad leaders faction, i.e a Rebel Major could have more troops under his command than a Sargent.
And
2. Makethe squad leader proffession more like creature handler except with soldiers instead of pets. And have these soldiers get better the more time they spend with you, i.e after a month they wouldbe better soldiers, do more damage, havemoreHAM.
Great idea!
Much could be done, once the devs give some time to it!

Only problem is: Do all SLs belong to a faction? What about those who are members of a neutral guild and want to remain neutral?

wouldn't work either - as you have to be declared to call your faction-pets and there is no such thing as an "overt neutral"...

Well, 3 faction pets is already kind of too much, especially if they're good faction pets like stormtroopers or at-sts (poor rebels).
However, the idea was floated of having people only use 1 pet of any sort (except CH). So if SL's maybe got a bump of 1 or 2 npc pets, that might be sorta cool.
we are not Creture handers, they are the pet profession, we are teh player profession. if you dont want to work with players then you shouldnt be a SL.
what they should do is change groups sizes so that the leader of a group can only have a group of 5-8 players/pets and to geta larger group the group leader has to be a SL. at noive SL increase group size to 8-10 and keep increaseing group size until at master SL group size is 20
i already have a CH char on an other sever, the last thing i want is to have to Pet Handlers
Welcome Draftees... You have noclue what you are talking about, and insult all those who have willingly chosen Squad Leader as a place holder for otherwise useless Skill Points...

Squad Leaders lead People, not NPCs.... We support Players, not ourselves... What you ask for defeats our purpose, it would make us a STAND ALONE Proffession, but the very nature of our Proffesion relys on other PLAYERS in our group...
See what I am getting at? Make a Mobster Profession for NPC Goons, do not taint our profession with this Pet Wars mindset that continues to spread...
Individual worth... Not our pets, is what should count... Its not about the best Pet, its about the best CHARACTER, and squad leaders should be able to allow Players to REACH NEW PLAINS of ability...
Period. End of story, now go away and never mention PETS in an Squad Leaders abilities again... Unless of course that Squad Leader is a Creature Handler, and for Pets, log your ideas in the CREATURE HANDLER Forum...

NPCs and pets are things that can go into squads correct? So I would consider them part ofsquads. Hands downreal people are better to have in a squad, but you cantnot look at this whole other side because it is there and its not going away unless the developerswave thier magic wand.
