Thread: Just picked up Master Smuggler and had someone ask me to slice his weapons doing the damage *trick*

From what I read slicing is completely random.He told me to contact him once I picked it up to fill large orders of crated weapons.
Could someone clue me in?

dont do it it can get you banned..

avoid any person that asks you to use trick.
trick = exploit = ban

I figured *trick* meant some kind of exploit since he wouldn't elaborate. But you never know, wanted to make sure I wasn't missing out on something. Would be nice though, since I'm not getting much out of Master Smuggler besides a nice title, guess I'll stand in line with the rest waiting on the revamp.

I once had someone inquire if I did that in a rather sneaky manner. Asked me just how "random" my slices were. I told him they were as random as any other smugglers.
Kinda ironic that we smugglers are among the more honest....

In the last three days, I have been asked once each night by different people if I did the "special" slices, and one guy came right out and said he would supply the "other part" (I refuse to post what it is, no matter how common knowledge it is) to do it. Each one I told quite firmly, "My slices are 5k a pop, and no, I won't get banned for exploiting. You want a legit slice? I'll give you a legit slice. If you can find a Smuggler willing to stick his account on the line for you, go ahead. I'll be here if you don't." Each one said they didn't know that it was an exploit or bannable and took a non-exploit slice.
In short, just say No

Is this refering to the power up exploit? If so, I think it has been closed. A couple of times today and yesterday I went to slice a clients weapon and got the message "the power up has been removed from...<weapons name>" prior to the slice dialogue opening.

Nope.. you will see that message normally when you start to slice a weapon with a power-up. The power-up exploit is something else and requires a specific action by the smuggler. Unfortunately, this exploit is STILL in the game.

I dont know what you guys are talking about either, but yea, taking advantage of a exploit will get you banned. Honestly, I would like to know what the part is, just so i know what to look for and not get banned.

you shoudl have informed him about the hawtpants trick, that one is still legal. I hear it also works better if you make them wear hawtpants as well and sing 'Everybody have fun tonight, everybody Wang Chung tonight!'

Simply put, there are only four things you should be doing to any one item to slice it
1. Select Slice from the item's radial.
2. Install FAN or Attach clamp(optional)
3. Cut the First Wire
4. Cut the Second Wire
If someone asks you to do something other than that, they're asking you to exploit. I won't explain what the exploit is.
Now, things you do while slicing the item that do not effect it in any way are fine. Examples are: Meditation, eating foods, drinking brandy, talking, etcetera.
