If you have less than 500 FP of the opposing faction, you can buy points. If you resigned as an Imperial with 435 FP, you could buy yourself out of that -5000 Rebel FP hole. You won't actually need the themepark or missions unless you just want to save money.
One advantage of buying your way back is you can stay positive in both. That will let you change sides fairly quickly.

When you drop out of a faction, you can no longer use faction perks, you also lose all rank within that faction. Going back and forth is easily possible for a Smuggler with enough money, but, its not beneficial, as you can't get to a high rank without grinding faction, or buying the ranks, and then if you keep switching back and forth, you have to do it every single time. If you don't plan on buying the more expensive perks or selling faction, then feel free to, otherwise, switching back and forth is just a hinderance.

I'm having yet another Homer Simpson moment.
I implied you could buy yourself out of -5000 and that's not true. You have to be a member of the faction to bribe the recruiter. Once you get positive, you will have no problem going back and forth but I was 180 degrees in the wrong direction in buying yourself out of that hole. You will need to go to another smuggler like the others suggested.

i mean i wanna go high in rank and reach coronel, but other smugglers just wanna charge me the the whole amount, well i can understand that but hey i know what they pay per fp.
im trying to find another smuggler in corbantis that wants to get high rank as well so it would cost less money.

Even buying at cost it's still going to cost quite a bit. From 1st LT you need 22000 fp to reach Col. Using a Master Smuggler with Col at cost will be 2,076,800 credits. If you and another 1st Lt delegate faction to each other at 1.54:1 ratio it will cost 2,710,400. Of course you could go up in rank as you go along and thus reduce the costs.

ok that cleared my thoughts a little bit, thnkx for your time.
well i think that yes it would be best that when the other smuggler has delegated me enough fp i can go up in rank that would make it cheaper.

if anyone has some time off let me know plz,hum also in same server corbantis hehe
i hope this doesnt sound like it should be in the trade forum,i just need some help from my fellow smugglers
