Thread: Well I hit my first real snag with the CU!

It's not Smuggler related though, but I just wanted to vent.

Zane used to be a MS/MWS. I wanted to make him more combat oriented so I got another account and created a wookie MWS/Novice RIfleman named Dewcatti.

Well Dewcatti, being a novice, no longer qualified for the rifle he was carrying. No big deal, so I break out my tools and start crafting him a new weapon. I craft my components, and then assemble the rifle. Before I experiment even once i get a message that the weapon damage max is such and such, that I'm trying to craft a weapon above that max, and the crafting tool was adjusting it to the max. What the hell... now my own tools are nerfing me?

From day one as a WS, I have only ever used close to max stat resources. If I didn't have something close to max stat, I just didn't craft that kind of weapon. I wanted to be known for quality. Now my own tool nerfs me into a mediocrity that a noob weaponsmith can match.

I was in good spirits about the CU til this. I was an advocate of it with my guild members, urging them to just take their time and feel out the new system. Then they slap me in the face with this. It's complete and utter BS!

PS- one more thing... whatever fix went in this morning/last night nerfed my two towering, muscular wookie vendors into these short almost ewok-like jokes. Not as big of a deal, but still annoys me since I spent forever going through pink, peach, and purple wookies trying to get something respectable.

"Jedi claims of being "broken" are like saying "But my TV isn't widescreen! It's broken! My TV can't show high-def pictures in 1080i, it can only do 720i! It's broken!" Meanwhile, crafters are saying "We'd really like to have a TV that's larger than 12" and gets more than 4 channels and doesn't constantly lose vertical control", and entertainers are saying "Can we get some color instead of this B&W piece of junk?" And smugglers? We're listening to radio programs of "The Shadow" and "The Abbot and Costello Comedy Hour" and hearing FDR's Fireside Chats. We don't even HAVE a damn TV, much less a broken one or a "broken" one by Jedi standards. I'd LOVE to be as "broken" as they are." - The Legendary Solo4114

I'm sorry to benefit from your troubles, but that was freaking hilarious!

Theed was a bustling commerce city...people hawked their wares, danced, laughed, dueled, and had a rollicking good time. Cantinas packed with Entertainers of every race, shape and size...along with scoundrels, Stormtroopers, and drunks. People grouped up and stuck together in the wilderness, and you ALWAYS took a Scout or a Ranger with you. We lived our own Star Wars saga. We created our own personas, our own histories, and it all blended into this wonderful, magical experience that I will always remember...

That magic is gone now, but I'd pay 50 bucks a month to have it back.

Editor's Note: The author of the above post has quit giving SOE her money. She suggests you do the same, because this game will never be what you want it to be.

Been hearing a lot of this kind of thing lately, but I agree with Veela. Your pain makes me laugh, and I'm ashamed of it...

It's a known bug for them, and as annoying as it is, I too think it's funny.

In my shop we now have midget wookies and giant bothans since they made all vendors the same height somehow.

It's not just vendors. We had a little bit of dueling earier, and my friend's normally very short human was the same height as my normally tall human. And the Bothan that showed up was the same height as well. It seems height differences were shut off completely.
