Hi guys! I was never a big poster (oh, how that's changed) so I don't know if any of y'all will remember me from several months back.

I missed smuggler, and with the respec I took it back. And I've been enjoying it so far, but I am running face-first into a few... issues.

I have here the slice results for 15 carbines I did 10 minutes ago. I'd been seeing a serious trend in all my slices so far, but thankfully nobody'd minded -- speed slices don't seem to be cause for taking my lekku as a sign of my lack of skills.

spd, 21%

dmg, 2% (I didn't know this was -possible-?!)

spd, 23%

spd, 30%

spd, 25%

(not bad so far, right? Here's where it starts to get weird.)

spd, 20%

dmg, 8%

spd, 20%

dmg, 8%

O_O What's freakier, is that all of those last ones were from the same crate, and exactly split in half. I'm not putting these down from memory -- I've got the groupchat slice logs on my other monitor. The only thing I can think of to explain this is that perhaps they could -not- go any higher? Because of speed/dmg caps? I was under the impression, however, that speed caps are extremely difficult to hit now...

Is this happening to everyone? Do I need to start warning my customers? All I can say is thank god this guy was understanding about it, chalked it up to weird bugs, and still paid me more than I asked for. I'd really like to know what's going on, though...

Slicing percentages are now tied directly to the stats on the weapon; the only thing that's random (it seems) is whether it will be for speed or damage. In general, the better the weapon, the worse the slice.

Take a look at the slicing sticky and the numerous other threads around here for more info.

Eeek, i've been followed!

I see... so that's why all the really nice weapons my guildleader made me, got really bad slices.

I just assumed that was my own bad slicing luck, come back to haunt me agian.
