I just respeced my TKM/Novice Pistoleer into a TKM/Novice Smuggler. I've heard about others buying faction points from the recruiters, and I'm wondering how exactly that works. Do you have to have certain skills in Smuggler? What factors influence buying FP from the recruiter? I know this is a horribly stupid question, but it's something that's been bothering me for a while.

You need underworld 4 to even have the option to buy faction. The higher your rank, the more FP you can bank. I would check out the stickies if I were you for more details.
