Why!??! Why!!?!?! Why??????
Why are most of the WS still damage-whores? Damage, damage, damage. Ignore every other stat! A pistol with a SAC of 115 is worthless!

I don't want a weapon where I have to sit down every 3 shots because it sucked my action bar dry!
*flails wildly and stomps of the stage muttering*

They do this because the damage is the first thing the consumer looks at.
They eitherdon't realize that the perfect gun for a smuggler/pistoleer filling his crowd control role has action cost and speed experimented as high as it goes, or don't care to mass produce weapons like this because, well, they won't sell.

I hear ya, bud.
This is one of the reasons why I have refrained from slicing a lot of my material. I am HOPING that we'll be able to slice this attribute when our revamp comes. I am also hoping I will get a chance to re-slice stuff (which MAY happpen since once you slice something it slowly goes out of "tune" and needs to be fixed).
That said, I DID finally buy an DL-XT 44 (presliced- *giggle* I'm soooooo naughty). That had a DPS of 396. My DPS with it was 585. But it was packing a LOT of sac. I want to say 112 but can't remember.
I also bought it's Twin brother (that was unsliced so I can slice it later) and it had a DPS of 368.
I have high hopes for our revamp folks.

I kicked my butt for buying a high damage pistol without really paying attention to the action cost at that time - needless to say it is not getting used a lot.

whats a good action cost? I went from an 87 to a 117 and its really powerful and good but drains me too fast even with food and spice.

I like something in the zero to zero range, maybe as high as zero sometimes (depends).

My DL-44 XT is 337 base....and the same high SAC.
