Thread: My fellow respec MBH/smugglers, lend me your strategery!
I've never been good at developing tactics on my own, so I'm reaching out to all of you.
Give me your best tactics for MS/MBH templates to hunt Jedi.
as a note, I'm MS/MBH/Pistoleer 0040.
Thanks in advance, lets try to keep a running thread of strategery

heres my tip go to the Aakuran Champion CavePOI expose the jedi camping for CAs and AAs there thengo to the terminals get their mission come back kill them and then have a nice spot to yourself to get some nice SEAs not so much a MS/MBH tip but its an easy Jedi killing tip
Put the jedi on your friendslist
Send 'em a /tell, maybe just a /tell goof-y ? They may in fact be afk and sitting in their safehouse for the night.
If you see some idiot wearing the robes, using the powers, or wearing the title, sneak off and grab the mission.
Root and get out of melee range!!
Don't let the payout fool you. I had a friend who'd just respecced as MBH ask me about a certain jedi. I told him ooo, she's no pushover. He snorted and said 50k=weak jedi. I shrugged and figured, your funeral, dude. She's a kicka$$ pvper. Another of ours, a jedi knight, was just ebay'd, and accidentally gave an aakuan ring away...a guy proposed to him and the ring went across in the trade. This I listened in on for fifteen minutes, the new owner of the formerly ultra jedi standing around, in robes, with title, in front of Coronet starport. Oh, to have respecced in that instant!

Dish, dish, dish!
I want to hear more of these stories!
I usually lead off with a concussion shot from ~45 meters with my proton carbine then start slapping on the state effects (confusion shot, overwealming shot, reckless shot, etc) followed by an underhand shot and and a critical shot. ABout this point the concussion shot should be about to wear off so make sure you are ready to reapply the second it wears off. If you botch this then this allows then precious time to force run away.
Keep woking at them with concussion, underhand, torso shot, and critical shot mainly and wear then down till they start to have to channel. This means that they are running out of foruce and are having to convert their HAM to force. It's very noticable when theit mind and action start taking big hits and your specials take much more of the mark's health bar. Once I see them channeling I switch to pistols cause I have better modified DPS and finish them off.
It takes a little practice but it's one of the most interesting things I have ever done in game. It truely is the most dangerous game as the story goes
Gost's respec MBH list:
1). Check equipment. Verify your armor ( I use recon for the energy resists), and PSG are fully functional. Make sure you have at least a good carbine. I myself carry a DC-15 rifle and my Renegade. Check your Stim supply (no medic required kind). Pack the extra speeder. Pack a crate of bomb droids (currently flaky but still usefull). Verify mod jewlery (hero ring, aakuan ring, etc). Check probe and seeker droid supply. MAKE SURE YOUR ON LEAVE and not wearing your BH tag
2). Cruise the popular venues, i.e Coronet Starport, Dant Mining Outpost. Take note of BH terms nearby and watch for pvping, or grinding Jedi.
3). Pick a target and enter surveillance mode.
4). If Jedi is pvping,...look for same faction "cover". Let them hack it out, swoop in for the kill. If Jedi is grinding,..verify if they are in a open grind group and join. If the Jedi is doing quests, plot a intercept course at the hardest part of the quest and ambush.
Adendum:
On the BH term...you can pick jedi bounties easily by looking at who issued the bounty. If it is not the BH guild, a family guild, or Bib Fortuna then its prolly a Jedi. Second look at the pay out.
Put target on friends list to verify online status. Take them off after hunt.
If the target is in a player city,..good chance they are hiding in a house. Have a friend send them a tell to verify if they are afk or live. Avoid house huggers.
Beware the cloaking jedi. Cloak breaks root. If the Jedi turns on you hold your ground and prep your KD. When they decloak knock em down, apply stun, then any poison or bleed that you have as you run out of range. Proceed to attack till they cloak again.
Remember saber throw is a 35m attack. Stay more than 35m away unless you have them eating dirt.

I have no advise to give you b/c I didn't go MBH, but I'd give you * * * * * just for using the word "strategery"
Heheheh. Thanks, but I just like the word. As for the rest of you, those are some great tactics. there's also some good common sense advice that I'd neglected to think of, so thanks a mil. Keep the ideas flowing.
A messed up template jedi ( who could heal but not much else), a mrm template, and I (ms/mp/0040 bh) encountered 3 full template jedis at the starport. Take your group and make sure there is a designated target to kill. everyone else, use concussion shot and the other root so they dont move. shoot lowblow at the main target. if you get to close and someone throws a glowstick and your health gets low, feign and wait for a heal, or the other guys to get unrooted and go to help their damaged friend. Pop up behind them and repeat until they are all down for the count. Took us a good 15 minutes but they all went down, and all of them started talking about how crazy my smuggler skills were. Note though, you will be an assist role. dont bother doing damage, worry about keeping everyone else immobile.
Use Concussion shot. I think part of the challenge of fighting a Jedi is staying out of saber range. This means using roots/snares/ranged knockdowns to STAY more than 35 meters away from a Jedi.
The other added bonus is concussion shot keeps them from running AWAY.
I'd get a rifle or carbine, even though you can't use it as well, because it has a range bigger than 35 meters.
If your concussion shot misses, use your ranged KD or snare. For most Jedi, you will need them to use up their force, and then they can't heal anymore. Good luck!
Oh yea, watch out for those low payout marks that hide a T-21 under their cloaks. Those hurt!
