Thread: My suggested solution to spice stacking: OVERDOSE

This thread posted in the Jedi forum is getting plenty of feedback, so I thought I would try it here. There is a serious upraor among some about being able to stack so many spices, so I thought of this:


Wouldn't it be great if there was a percent chance of overdosing for every spice you stack.


Say with one spice, 0% chance of OD. However, for every other spice you stack you get a 25% chance of overdosing and a random point while the spices are running. Stack 3 spices and you are at 50% chance of OD-ing some time during the time the spices are active.


OD = instant incap or maybe just seriously degraded HAM regen and attack speed.


With great rewards should come great risk. Spice stacking is the new new defense stack. Same game different method, end result no more balance to SWG than we had 2 months ago.


Can we get spice overdosing pretty please.

A fine idea. Brought up by folks likemyself even as far back as Summer of 2003? Yes. Nonetheless, a fine idea.

Why not instant death?


As a drug-producer we should have an option to make them extra strong (customer shouldnt see that, before they have used the drug).

sounds like the jedi are mad because the BH figured out the spice trick before they did. Give the jedi a couple of "free" shots of spice and they will see the truth.

Hillarious!


I see the potential abuse of "safe overdosing" away from battle.


So it should be death (not incap) so all current buffs are instantly removed when overdose happens.
Also a longweaken (15-30min?) is important to avoid having a doctor next to you, reviving until you are sucessful.

For 3 years I have tried to find excuses to stay in game but only the expansions offered me what I subscribed for in the first place: A multiplayer Star Wars pve experience with friends around the globe. I found friends but with almost no addition of pve content they dropped out one by one. Now it's my turn.

So negative. Actually the spice stacking affects anyone who PvP's - it just so happens that instead of crying NERF a Jedi actually came up with a resonable solution that is practical and would be beneficial. So rather than be negative think about the fact that people are even open to the idea of stacking multiple spices at the same time instead of crying nerf to have it with just one spice.

Ahhhh but see the problem truly lies in the fact that you hit a point where you cannot deal enough damage to keep up with the target's regen due to all the spice. That's the intent of the idea.

Random thought:


I might get some hate from me fellow smugglers but what about just getting rid of the ability to stack spices and food/drink all together? Make it so you can only take one food, drink and spice all at one time....just make the spice a bit stronger than it is now so it won't be useless like it was before pre-CU. No mega levels of health, we and the chefs would be in great demand ...we all live in peace while we blast away at each other.

Why not, they are on that line already, killing the slices completely. So why not nerf it all to nada

Now hold on to your shorts, I didn't say nerf it all away...I just said limit the amount of food//drink/spice at once. The rates that they heal/enhance/etc won't change....you just won't have mega levels of HAM. Really, whats wrong with that?
