Thread: Increase in hinderance after slicing

Sliced some new faction armour last night and the usual happened. No increase in stats, so i informed customer to wait till after server reset. Got a tell today saying stats have altered as I sais they would. However now the hinderance on the armour has increased so that even with Master Swordsman there is a small penalty still.
Is this the norm.

Yes, slicing increses the base protection value and hindrance is a direct based on this value.

Yes, I've noticed this.
I sliced a set of my own faction armour (Scout trooper) and after it had been sliced, the stats were unchanged. The system message said I got a 10% slice on base effectivness, but the stats were the same post-slice. It was about a day later that the suit finally updated to show the real stats.
The hinderance was increased a little bit, but I was still fully mitigated at master smuggler.

I understand then that the hinderance is increased but surely at Master the mitigation should be enough. (i know all the naked gun fans are saying dont call me shirley lol)

The same thing happened to me on my rebel battle and marine suits. But even though my mitigations are much higher than the increased hinderances I still recieve the buff icons and it shows that I have 0.1 and 0.0% hinderances and stuff like that.
It's very annoying.

welcome to the club. I have huge hinderences after slicing my scout trooper. It was bad enough that it was better to just buy a new unsliced set and wear it.

I sliced some armor a few days ago and received the message that its effectiveness was increased by a certain percent. Funny thing was that none of the numbers changedUNTIL the next time i logged in, where the stats and hindrance were increased.
