What's a reasonable amount to charge people for faction points?
100 per faction point?
I guess if you did a little faction farming you could charge less.
What's the break even point? 80?
Just curious.

Am I getting ripped off if you charge me over 100 credits per point?

I don't think so. Charging 100 Credits/faction point is fair.Smugglers are providing a service--and as a part of that service, you're paying for their time and their work, not just the raw cost of the product they're selling. If they didn't receive anything for their labor, then why should weaponsmiths be able to sell above cost--say 2 CPU for the weaponsmiths who harvest their own materials?

I charge 110...a relatively low price on my server. This takes a lot of time and is kind of a pain...so costs a lot of money.

and we have to declare ourselves special forces to delegate faction, that carries a risk that's reflected in the price.

A lot of grinders on my server (non smugglers) sell for 50 cpu, but they're unreliable, and can only sell now and then. I charge 100 cpu, and of course am available 24-7, even if I sell every point i have, it nothing to get more.

That's how I do it too. Every now and then I'll pass through an Imp POI with a startportand clear it, but I don't actively grind faction. I don't really sell much at that rate, but if somebody's in a hurry they know who to call. If they are willing to pay, I'll deal. If not... have fun hunting up the afk grinders.

Thanks for the info. I just started getting into the faction point business and was wondering why people were calling me crazy for charging 110 per FP. Now, I'll just tell them to go find a FP grinder or grind it out themselves if they don't like it.

I charge 115 points per unit, that is because I get 99 percent of my faction from ground missions and I inform the customer of this. I do not AFK grind and I inform them that if they conside my prices to high that they are free to find someone else.
