I'd like to see the slicing part of a base takedown be more involved. When I had my BE alt I loved slicing the base with her cause it was a really involved thing. thoughts? flames? kittens?

I hope not, I'm allergic.
Anyways, in some ways I can see this working, but I think their keeping it the same for containers and terminals. In a way, it doesn't make a lot of sense for terminal slicing to get very complicated (at least when it comes to base terminals) since all you're doing is disabling a security system instead of altering complex cicuitry with a desired outcome in mind.

I'm not saying it has to be complicated. I just liked the BE part cause it was obvious someone had put some thought into it. I mean taking bases down is fun and all but I'd kind of like to have the slicing be diff than terminal/container slicing. After all, this is hardcore imperial sceurity you are trying to hack, not some flimsy mission terminal.

True, but you know what they say about Imperial security and technology, "Quantity over quality"
It's why they invented the TIE fighter. Cheap, easily mass produced, and blows up in one hit.

true, good point. But I believe that their electronic security was better than their fighters.
Tie fighter blowing up = nothing big
Electronic data theft = big problem

Gotta love Imperial priorities.
That's anybody's priorities. Because in the case of a war, tie fighter = blown up grunt, stolen data = blown up death star with thousands of people aboard, including VIPs. and as we all know, VIPs are better people and hence count quadruple.

Well, I would like a bit more slicing in the meaning of Slicing. Those Security Systems could aim those people in white...

being an imperial myself, i must defend them. the only problem with tie fighters is thier lack of shields. if youve read any of therogue squadron books youll clearly see that tie fighters can take morethen 1 hit, besidesan x-wing without shields would die just as easily.without shields the pilots die before they can learn. however if doesn't matter much if one side has 36 fighters without shields against 12 with shields. in its height the empire had an almost limitless supply of pilots willing ot the train so they didn't care about survival, just getting the job done

The toughest part about taking out 36 TIE Fighters is deciding which one to shoot first.
