Perhaps I just missed it, but all the other combat classes(in their forums) have a "combat role" posted in their stickies. Do we have one of these? You know the post that will say we are crowd control and how we rate:
Damage: ??
Defense: ??
Crowd Control: ??
I am really curios about this. If we have one, can someone show me the link, or better yet if there is a link that has them ALL listed, that would be getter.
Also, for any of you with a TKM as part of the template....does the "TK Armor" stay active even with a pistol in hand? I have not played since January, and am now totallly lost. I remember at that time, if I equiped a gun, none of my TK combat modifiers counted anymore. Now I already know that regular armor and the TK armor do not stack, but do I keep the TK armor benifit if I attack with a weapon??

Smuggler
Primary Role: Crowd Control Specialist
Secondary Role: Medium Range Damage Dealer
Offense: Moderate (3)
Defense: Minimal (1)
Crowd Control: Very Strong (5)
All's fair in love and war is the motto most Smugglers live by. Smugglers use what is generally perceived as dirty fighting to keep their targets off balance while they defeat them. Smugglers have very low defensive ability and only moderate offensive ability, but when combined with their unique fighting style they can comfortably hold their own.
Smugglers are the dominant Crowd Control profession. Smugglers will be receiving a whole new line of abilities that allow them to temporarily remove an enemy combat threat so that it can be dealt with at a later time. Smugglers abilities combine well with many other profession abilities and will be vital in dealing with high end group content.

Hmm the best way to explain our role is crowd control, basiclly how job is to stop add's bu using concussion shot, debuff the mob our group is hitting with panicshot and lowblow and use overwhelming shot to allow everyone a better chance at sticking states.
Our offence really shouldnt be a 3 since all we have is reckless shot which debuff's ourself as well.
Get yourself into a group and you will really see how we shine as a crowd controller.

In PvP, you will find yourself extremely valuable when fighting tough melee and or jedi groups(when/if our mez is fixed then include any other enemy). Make sure your squad has an enemy targeted(easy with a SL), then you root / mes the melees/jedi so everyone can stay out of range of them. You arent the guy who makes the glamorous kill, but Many a time I have been recognized as the only way my group came back alive and victorious.
