Slicing wise does master smuugler get a bonus compared to slicing IV?

Doesn't seem that way - but slicing is being "fixed" in the next little while so be careful

i am master smuggler i opened a nice shop and now publish 17 hits, back to muon and neutron only

. in what way is slicing fixed?

Master Smuggler DOES get a slicing bonus. Always have. It used to be in the Master Smuggler box, but a long time ago in a game far far away it was removed.

Please read the stickys, the section on Slicing will fill you in.

I have not kept myself upto date with smuggler stuff as I have been too busy with armorsmithing, so I wonder if anyone has really tested slicing IV vs master smuggler post CU? Slicing as it is now is very borked, nothing random with it anymore so it wouldn't really suprice me if there is no difference at the moment.

Borked is right.

I know slicing 4 vs Master Smuggler was (pre CU) no contest, but now I'm not even sure theres a difference between slicing 2 and master smuggler, when it comes to weapons anyways.

something to look into I guess.

what's a smuugler? (smooooooogler....smoooooooogler)...

I sliced a set of Katarn for a guildie the other day...I pre-warned him that slicing isn't what it used to be...got 7% to base eff on every piece.

Sliced another set last nite...ready for this shocker???? 7% to base eff on every piece.

Anyone wanna guess what the next set of Katarn will slice at?

Well, considering Katarn sets are very high n their stats, i would imagine they're nearly capped. So not very much.

When could we start slicing Katarn? I was under the impression it wasn't able to be sliced.

OO OO OO !

I sliced some Katarn armor last night too... you guessed it 7%.

Why havent we developed a formula for determining the slices on armor/weapons yet? It's very obvious the same items slice exactly the same. I can see (for example) 2 identical DL 44 pistols (same serial number) having the same - 'out of the box' stats - but WHY THE HELL does it have to increase the speed only by x% and not maybe speed for X% one time, then another one will get maybe damage for X%, etc...

I just don't get it. It baffles me beyond belief.
