Thread: Slicing changes: is there a summary of what things mean to us laymen?
I have looked a bit through your forum and cant really see what the new slicing changes mean. I noticed breakage was removed but they made the "better" slices harder by requiring some loot drops
Some questions for those that have played around on the test center:
Are there any drawbacks to slicing now?
What does the slicing stats mean--ie i have read people talking about "level 3 crit chance"--what does this actually mean? what is good/bad?
what does the laymen ask for when bringing an item for slicing? do you talk about customization points or can you split up the slicing to say some in damage some in speed?. Is it better to focus customization in one are (ie better chances of success/failure?)
What is the pricing scheme now for slicing?
Thanks in advance

I myself will be charging 15k plus the value of the looted tools I use.
The numbers are around here somewhere, look around a bit and you'll probably find them.

Many of us have looked around. I mean, the smuggler FAQ is over a year old. There's no stickied thread about slicing changes and hard numbers, like you would find in every other profession's forums with such a patch. There are just random bits and pieces here and there.
The Slicing Post-CU thread has none of this new information, and should just be removed.
The CU Smuggler Focused-Feedback is outdated as well.
Concerns about Slicing by GreenMarine has little tidbits, scattered over 500+ posts. No hard numbers, just a bit about loot drop balancing, %'s being increased (to what?) and breakage being removed.
The search function is a joke, and is "currently unavailable". Has been for me for the past week.
So again, if anyone could actually be helpful and maybe post a link to the info that everyone else seems to be missing, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
this WAS stickied, but there was a concern that the numbers were changing. but, yea, here it is.
