So I am a master smuggler princess on Intrepid and I am planning on starting up slicing again for my loyal clients. What I've kinda decided to do is to try and encourage the others to go out and get the smuggler components and bring those tools to me and I will slice their wares for a reasonable fee.
Why should I risk my neck killing Nightsisters and Krayts for somebody elses gun?
If they want to pay the absurd slicing cost of me providing the tools so be it, lately I've been getting a steady supply of things from guild mates and old chums who are Jedi now and have no use for the parts but kill Krayts while they do laundry and play Spongebob Pokemon Arena on their gameboy advance...
After that I plan to escort my customer's either to my Space yacht or to my house and slice their guns just to give an extra feeling of "oooh is this dangerous?" I'll probably do this for faction selling too. So at least I can feel a little more scoundrel-like when I conduct the limited shady business I'm allowed...

I know this isn't a radical idea, but I was wonder has anybody had success slicing with people bringing the pieces to you for their slice?

My other question to the group is, is the Prefectly Calibrated Pistol really all that perfect? Even after you slice it to "perfection"?

yes the BYOslicingtools thing is a good idea.

No, the perfectly calibrated pistol offers very little unless there's some Legendary one out there.

Yeah it's quite sad, only way I see us being useful now is working together with an unperfect weaponsmith. "Okay I maxed out the power, now you boost the speed" but that would still be ungodly expensive nobody would buy the stuff... Because we can't go over the crafting max, makes no sence, illigally -fixing- weapons instead of upgrading them, meh...

I just plain don't slice, I can, but I'll only work with the tools my customer collects. *shrug* Most people don't even know I'm a smuggler... there's really no reason to advertise eather.
