Thread: question on mass crafting

I have purchased enough raw material to create several cases of molecular clamps. I use my crafting tool while standing in front of a public crafting statation but i never get an option to create a scematic. What am I missing?

Which crafting tool are you using and standing in front of? you need to use a weapon/droid/generic crafting tool and stand in front of that same crafting station. I'm not sure why it's not general crafting tool, but it's not. That had me bogged down for almost an hour one night.

I am using the general crafting tool. Are you saying i need to pick up weapon/droid/generic crafting tool? If thats the case its an easy enough fix.

And i do believe it needs to be a private crafting station or droid with the correct crafting module.

Nope public crafting staion is just fine, mol clamps aren't that complicated

They are right.
Weapon Droid and general crafting tool is a specialised crafting tool, like the food and chemical one, etc.
But yes, took me a while to figure out I needed that one to get my mol clamp schematic too! You are not alone lol

for those of you who are following this post I thought I would follow up. Yes, I was able to produce a schematic.
FYI, if you then want to use the schematic you need to buy, or have access to, a factory! Once you buy a factory then you have buy POWER!
I have created the galaxies most expensive molecular claps! 25,000 credits a case!

that's why i started to do everything...
i harvest my own metal now, generate my own power...
that's the only way crafting your own tools isn't more expensive than buying them...
And now i make a nice little profit each week off selling Slicer Supply Kits and Slicer Grinding Kits.
Slicer Supply Kit:

10 Factory Crates-Molecular Clamps
4 Factory Crates-Weapon Upgrade Kits
4 Factory Crates-Armor Upgrade Kits

I'm not able to keep either one in stock. I guess part of the Grinding Kit's value is with people using slicing xp for Force Sensitive XP conversion.
I just got to the point where i didn't want to have to search out tools, and the vendors i was using were often out of stock or their prices were constantly changing. Now i've always got stock to fall back on, i charge a constant price, and give discounts for buying in the Kits.
And i'm keeping a steady flow of regulars in my shop. And it all started with trying to use a generic crafting tool to make clamps...
