allright, im tired of hearing about deadbeats who refuse to pay for slices, and whatnot, which leads to you being called names and/or reported, and so i thought of this idea. This post is for smugglers who have run into people who tried to cheat you out of your money(refusing to pay for a slice after the fact) and either tried to report you for keeping their items and such, post the server and names here to prevent it from happening again. this will be a big list of people who, say, cant be trusted, and so people can refuse service to them in the future, thus minimizing the risk of these people doing it again, thank you

yeah, those people suck. Simple solution: Don't slice until you are paid. My soloution? I turn off my smug tag.

never had that problem, but since i now follow the 5-6k flat rate, i make them pay as they hand their stuff over to me. i refund whatever i feel like if i get a bad slice. but this policy has yet to be questioned. sure the intergalactic idiot we all have run into will come back and argue it, but till he does, its happy slicing, on my terms, when/where i feel like it.

I only wear my tag if I'm slicing, which isn't too often for the public, I charge a flat fee and I rarely if ever give refunds for a "bad" slice.
As a result I've never really had a problem. I did have one guy that I sliced for that said he didn't have the money after I finished...I was in a good mood so I gave him his stuff anyway and within the hour he had bank tipped me the full amount (about 30k) plus an extra tip for being understanding. Of course I play over on Tempest and from what I've heard overall our population is a bit....nicer than most.
As for a blacklist the only problem I can see is that thread that contain specific names and things like this have a tendency to disappear...or at least over in our galaxy forums they do. *shrug*

One of the forum admins explained this on Eclipse after deleting a thread. It's considered to be slanderous, so SOE don't want the legal risk of having it on their forums (he didn't spell that last part out exactly, but that was the implication).

A ban-list thread is going to get deleted sooner or later.Youcould tryputting it on an external site and linking to it - the forum admins might let that go.

The weapons are worth more than the slice (usually) ... just don't give it back and start talking in spacial.
Other people will get involved and start telling the guy he is an idiot.

Yep. Confiscation of weaponry in lieu of payment always worked for me. I did a 3k slice for a guy, kept his carbine when he wouldn't pay and sold it for 12k. That's all profit for me, and worth more than the slice. Heck I wish more a-holes WOULD refuse to pay me.
