In an effort to cut down on the confusion with the new perk costs on live with todays GCW posts.

Real short synapsis of what is going on for those who haven't figured it out... If your "side" in the GCW is winning on any given planet (talk to recruiter to see standings on that planet) then your perks will have a HIGH fixed cost. If your side is losing on that planet then perks will cost nearly that high winners cost if thing are really close to 1/3 of that high cost if you're not putting up any fight at all. So if you are buying pers you want to find the planet taht you are currently the furthest behind and buy perks there to get the most bang for your FP.

... So while that's a great little explanation t still seems confusing without some real hard #s of what items cost what.

If we can get a few Imperial Master Smugglers of different racial persuations to check their recruiters for the following info I think it would help a good deal:

If you want to help please:

1) find a planet in your galaxy where the imps are WINNING. (recruiter has a new menu item where you ask how the war is going, they then reply with a pints score you're Winning if your side has more points)

2) please then post the FP cost for the following items:

ATST:

Sm. Turret [Dish, Block, Tower]:
Md. Turret [Block, Tower]:
Lg. Turret [Dish, Block, Tower]:

HQ: Forward Outpost:
HQ: Field Hospital:
HQ: Tactical Center:
HQ: Detachment HQ:

SF HQ: Forward Outpost:

3) Post your race as well

Please don't ask questions about how things fluctuate from planet to planet.. there are already at least 2 threads on those issues... i'm just trying to get numbers here to help someone (dreven perhaps) update the FAQ with some real values.

Should also be noted that Imperials still receive the 30% discount from the CoA storyline.

Rebels should still be receiving the 10% FP bonus.

People grouped up and stuck together in the wilderness, and you ALWAYS took a Scout or a Ranger with you. We lived our own Star Wars saga. We created our own personas, our own histories, and it all blended into this wonderful, magical experience that I will always remember...

That magic is gone now, but I'd pay 50 bucks a month to have it back.

ok now the way I'm reading this is as a rebel I get a discount on faction perks only on the planets that the rebellion is losing and the magnitude of said ratio is determined by how much the rebellion is losing on that particular planet. The ratio of course to be determined by some government tax sub committee over paid and with too much time on their hands.

Is this correct?

Does anyone see how easily exploitive this would be? and How this is a huge detriment to the proliferation of the gcw?

What is my reward for winning a planet? 10% faction increase or nothing?

Seems to me if I wanted the cheapest perks possible the rebellion could get together and just decide to lose a planet and place no bases. Then the only counter would be for the empire to either destroy their own bases or put up faction farms.

Somebody please say I have this all wrong here.

Where is my incentive to place more bases?

Where is my incentive to take more enemy bases down?

The way I see it, it balances the GCW by encouraging the losing side to place more bases, since they are cheaper.

Like I said maybe I'm missing something but it seems to me it encourages either side to lose one planet completely in order to get the cheapest bases to place on what ever other planet they want.

I haven't been on live yet, but maybe the bases are restricted to the planet you buy them on. You see house deeds all the time that say they can only be placed on three planets, perhaps that is what they are doing to prevent the situation you are talking about.
