I looked in the stickies and didn't find anything that made me absolutely certain. I know the materials I use won't effect the slice, but what about my skil level? Will a Master Smuggler have better slices and me, being x2xx?

yes it isnt worth slicing unless u r a master

it is in the stickies, but i'll answer here anyway. a master smuggler has a higher max possible slice than you do. it is still random.

while a master CAN get a better slice, it is certainly not a given.

and, unlike what the last poster said, it is definitely worthwhile to slice when not a master. its all random, and you can still do very well. after all, no matter what you get, its always an improvement.

Weapon: 10-30% Speed or Damage
Armor: 5-30% Effectiveness
Armor:15-40% Encumbrance

Master Smuggler:

Weapon: 15-35% Damage or Speed
Armor: 11-35% Effectiveness
Armor: 20-45% Encumbrance

I've never seen anyone pay a Slicer II to slice...at least not slice anything important.

QFE. If you tell someone you're slicing and you only have x2xx and you charge them and get a 10% slice, they will get pissed. You'll never make money at that level and if you try to, I would consider it conning people.

And as per your question, Slicing II should run at 10-25% speed or damage for weapons, with no slicing yet possible on armor.
