When I was looking at the skill tree for the smuggler profession, I noticed that you can "build" spice. The more you study this column, the "better" spice you can make. I was wondering what would you do with the spice? Can you only give it to NPC's, or can you sell it to anyone who wants some? (assuming that you really can craft the spice, I was going off older info on a website)

Its just a buff, albeit a good one, but at this point its not illegal and we don't smuggle it. All we do is make it and either sell it or give it away. I really wish that info were old and that instead of crafting it we smuggled it.I have a feeling we aren't being ignored and that the devs will fix our favorite profession.

well, eseentially if you can't pay for your resources, then yes, i suppose you could do it this way. Personally i just buy all my resources, it's easier for me and someone else benefits from it at the same time.

You need to be a novice smuggler to make spices. After that, you can craft them out of whatever resources you find. Surveying helps with spices, so does scout, and forage. To be completely independant making spices, you'd need chef, scout, artisan and smuggler. I recommend buying what you need on the bazaar or comissioning people to get what you need. Much faster and cheaper than persuing a skill yourself.
