Friend: *cough* I got a 15% slice * cough* smugglers suck
Me: lol you still improved the wpn beyond it's normal stats
Friend: like i said slicing is the rule not the exception.
What I have bolded, needs to change.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe it was originally the devs intent for slicing to be far less frequent than it is now.... it's a shame they didn't implement a system of law and order to keep it that way.

Nevermind the fact that a large number of my clients are Imperials... some of them even Overt... I don't think low ranking Imperials should even be allowed to use sliced materials. That GCW goes both ways boys and girls....

I laugh at people like that then /dual them, sadly no one has taken me up on this offer (cowards, the lot of them I tell ya!). It is an attitude that does needs to change because any % makes the weapon better then when they bought it.

Ahem - I hate to harp on about this yet again - but there is NO real penalty for using sliced gear. The scans? the Imperial Crapdown?
Right now, it's a one off cheap payment to permanently increase your combat potential.
To be honest, the only way to make this work is to make sliced gear inconvenient in teh extreme - how about you can't catch a shuttle or transport while carrying it? (We'd have a chance to get round ti based on our underworld skill)
At the moment people are wandering into Starports carrying illegally modifed weapons - and no-one is getting stopped....
