As far as I know, the FAQ is still right and your weapon is slicable.

Aw. I'm sorry to hear that. You know a few of us are Bounty Hunters to...for a little extra fee we could track them down and 'slice' them.

Although not mentioned in the FAQ, slicing a weapon with a ADK on it will cause you to be affected by the "Good Times" virus.
