Yes my fellow scoundrel's andagents of the Underworld. I'm sad to say it, but I feel there will be no real Smuggler content until 2005. With all the recent delays to the CB, GCW and JTL we were pushed back once again.
I was really hoping to make a open hearted, CONGRATS thread right around the anniversary of Q's post in my sig. But its not looking good.
Now GreenMarine has gone missing, and I bet its due to the "other" more important re-vamps in the works.
/cheer JTL
/cheer GCW
/cheer CB
...again I go back into hiding as a Master Smuggler, for I have no real purpose in SWG.

Well, Caylin's been predicting Feb 2005 for a while now, so it's no big shock. Don't get me wrong, I don't like it, but I was expecting it anyways. Having said that, it's probably not even going to be Feb now, more like March or April.

Didn't see SmugCay's post on that, been away from the Smug boards for a while now.
Its just sad to see what has happened to just a great profession.
I can remember a long time ago being concerned that EVERYONE would be a Smuggler when I started in this game. I actually though for .00005 secounds not to be one for that reason.
Only SOE would re-vamp the Chef's (no offense) b4 Smugglers
Come on now. Were there any smugglers in SW?

2005? Only if your amazingly lucky.
My prediction is that smugglers will never be fixed - it requires way too much development that the developers don't seem to have much time for.
They have changed very little all things considered in this game - take for example that ever since launch - experimentation does NOTHING for a smuggler. Never has, never will.
My real prediction is that this game will be around for 2-3 years more tops - dying slowly because of the barrage of new MMORPG games out there and the fact that the developers of this game are really freakin' slow at what they do.
I think the development of JTL was a huge mistake - given the diminishing fanbase - and the upcoming releases of EQ2 and WoW are gonna kill this game even further.
But im glad some of you are holding a candle light vigil - good luck with it.

I thought the combat balance isn't slated until march '05?
If the smuggler revamp is after the CB, we may not see a revamp until late spring early summer of '05 :/

Smuggler is like the general state of the game in my view. It's so much potential, but is ultimately no where near realisation. Having said that, even the general state of the game isn't as bad off as Smuggler

February?? Good luck with that! JTL should be out for the X-Mas rush (Nov/Dec), game-breaking bugs for JTL ought to eat up 3 or 4 months of frantic redevelopment, then there's maybe the CB, followed by numerous fixes.5-6 more months? Then there's the GCW! And then there's Squad-Leaders, Commandos, Bounty-Hunters.. all desperately needing fixes that are much easier to implement.
The list is endless, but somehow we're at the end of it.
