Is making spice worth it anymore? I'm just starting the smuggler profession and already have spices 4. I was hoping to make a little cash selling muon and pixie but is it really worth it? Do you guys find that you still have a strong buying base for your spices or have the new chef foods like brandy and fishak totally replaced spices in swg?

I only make occasional cash from crates of muon. I'm also a weaponsmith though, so I've been maxing my bazaar quota with noob weapons that sell a lot faster than muon, and my vendor is out of the way, so I don't see that much action on it for spices.
Hope that helps.

Yeah it does. I've asked a couple of master smugglers on kette and they basically told me they hardly sold any spice. Well I guess the most we can hope for is that once march comes around we've got some spice that actually competes with chef/be food. Kind of sucks one whole tree get negated with the chef/be revamp. I guess it'll be selling loot kits for me until I get slicing 4 =/ Helping one professions by totally undermining the economic ability of another...way to go SOE!!!!!

It isn't worth placing a Vendor for it in my eyes. Most of my Spice is sold on the Bazaar in Theed. If I place 20 Crates in the Bazaar I never have to replace a single one of it. In the end Muonand Pixie is all I produce and sell.

Worth it? No
Moun and Pixie are the only spices worth selling. On Tarq a crate of 25 can sell for as little as 7,500.
When you consider harvesting resources for it, etc. It just aint worth it.
Chef is so uber now, spices just dont cut the mustard (if you excuse the pun!)

On Eclipse the price is even lower....always muon and pixies for 6k on the bazaar....you should stick to slicing

7,500, really? On the bazaars on Naritus they go for between 3,000 and 5,000 on credits. On a vendor in a mall they're usually upped to around 6,000. Since mastering, I've sold 8 crates of Muon and no Pixie. And 2 of those crates were from asking someone to pick them up and bring them to me.

Yeah I only sell crates of pixie and muon for 5k per crate. Only b/c I'm harvesting everything myself, so I have to put in cost of credits and energy for harvesters.

On Kettemore, I sell my bazaar's quota every week to week and a half. I divide it up beween pixie, muon, clamps and knives. I look at the factory crate listing for the entire galaxy to figure out where I should place the items each week.
I sell Pixie and knives for 5-6k depending on where I put them up. I split cases of muon and clamps in half and sell them for 5k a piece.
On a good week I'll make 100k+. For most people, that's not much money I guess but it's a nice supliment to my income. I also like the whole crafting/factory/shopping for resources mini-game.
Spice certainly isn't the best buff in the game but it's great to have for emergencies. Times when your stomach is full and you get overwelmed or your buffs run out. There's enough of a market out there for it that it will support a few of us.
