Is there anyone out there that can give a new smuggler a price guide for slice prices? I mean, what do u charge on average for weapons and armor slicing? When do you slice for more credits and when for a standard rate? Any input would be great. ty

The answers to your questions is:

It depends.

Every server has a different economy. Every smuggler prices themselves different. Why? Because since every Master Smuggler has the same chance for slicing weapons and armor, and every Master Smuggler makes the exact same spice with the exact same stats, the pricing comes from what the Smuggler values their time at.

If it's worth your time to slice a weapon for 4000 credits, then that's the price for you. If you think your time is worth more like 8000 credits a slice, then that's the price for you.

On top of this is the price that people are willing to spend for your services. Everyone is different. You could find a customer that is quite happy with 10k a slice, and others who refuse to pay more than 1000.

So really, this one's all up to you. You just have to get out there and start setting prices. If everyone seems to be buying your goods and services at the price you set, then raise it. When you start getting some customers saying it's a bit much, and others who pay it, then you've found your price zone.

There are missions in which you "deliver an item while hostiles attack you" in every profession. I still don't consider [Smuggler's Alliance] pilots to be Smugglers, nor 'Smuggling' - at least not any more than Rebel Pilots or Imperial Pilots might sometimes "smuggle", with a lower-case s - JFreeman - 10/6/04

The only advice I'd ever give anyone else is to charge what you damned well like. You're a service industry, so if people don't want to pay whatI'm asking, let them find someone else - it's no skin off mymoney-grabbing nose

My prices on Kauri are as follows. And i haven't had to many complain about them.

5k flat on all weapons and containers

6k a slice for armor. Mostly becuase as MS we get bonuses on our Armor Slices.

140cr per FP. i usually do not budge on my FP sales. It is hella time consuming. And it took forever to reach Imperial Colonel.

when i first became smuggler i was into the pricing every slice thing.well i am into pvp daily, and my faction took a big loss....after that i decided to always slice for free for my faction, and advertised this in public.

I did this for a good month, and continued the pricing for slicing for the opposite faction. and eventually decided to just slice for free to both factions. and i do so now to this day. I am usually tipped well, and thats fine for me, i don't want to make any profit off this, so maybe it's not the road for you to walk. But it's nice, and i get lots of customers and new friends from this ideal.

Anyways I allow my costumers to tip me what they want

This has a few advantages:

1. No cap on the amount they can give you

2. It allows them to decide what is fare

3. If they don't get the slice they want then they let u know it

Basically this is very costumer friendly

Downsides:

1. U get people that don't tip well

2. Some people just don't really know what a slice is worth

3. For multiple slices sometimes you get less then you normally would paying 4-5k a slice

Costumers enjoy it

I'm not complaining

I love getting 50-100k tips for 35% damage slices

Great input all. ty. I took off for the summer, but before the summer, everyone was charging me 3k, but now its much higher, around 4-6k. Wierd how the economy fluctuates.

With SOLO missions earning people up to 400k/hr, yes, inflation will take hold in this game too. I remeber on shadowfire paying 90k for a full set of composite 8 mos ago, now it is 300k. Why should slice pricing be any different?

Charge what you will, but here are my prices:

7k per weapon/armor

2k per container

5k per weapon/armor fo guild members

60k per suit of comp/RIS/BH

40k per suit of Ubese

25k per suit of Wook armor

30k for all other armor

5k bulk orders (25+ weapons, mismatched armor - multiple sets of armor still follow armor prices)

Of course, I hate being bothered when I'm buffed so all prices double. People do still pay...

Also, cute women have been known to be able to lower my prices. . .

well ive been a master smuggler,which by th way i really love.

i hate grabbing a shuttle and beofre im going on i start getttign tell hell for slices.

well im buffed and im losing time from hunting and gettting loot so someone has to pay for that.
