Thread: Panic Shot AOE-Cone bug is going to be fixed
Anyway, I'm going to copy and paste what I just posted on the Pistoleer forum:
I was just milling around the forums checking out what all of the Correspondants had to say about the Summit. I was reading a post on the Commando forum, and Garvin, the Commando Correspondant, dropped this little nugget:
"First off...the Cone issue of not hitting all targets in an area that are not aggro'd...that has been CONFIRMED to be a BUG...Kel has said he will work on fixing that...YAY!!!! We shoud be hitting all the targets that fit within the Cone Area of Attack when firing...even if they aren't Aggro'd yet..."

[End of Paste]This doesn't hugely effect Smugglers, but I thought you guys might like to know

The keyword in my statement is "hugely." I didn't say that the change had no effect on Smugglers. I said the change didn't have a huge effect on Smugglers, which is to say that it effects other professions, such as Pistoleer and Carbineer, far more than it effects Smuggler.

Except that your macro doesn't open with PanicShot; it opens with LowBlow.
And even in the case of your macro, this change has little effect. Yeah, you could delay the enemies surrounding your target with the change, but before the change you can just run the macro while prone and not worry about them aggro'ing you in the first place. So really, the change still doesn't effect Smugglers as much as it effects Pistoleers and Carbineers, and so my original statement still stands.

Oh, and all I gotta do is stay back by about 45 meters, not to hard. And when going against factional NPCs, I can get right up in thier face, as long as I'm not TEFed.

To be technical, you're opening with a Knockdown, not a delay silly-head
And getting right up in their face makes PanicShot hit fewer enemies, which means you delay fewer surrounding enemies, which means that them fixing the AOE bug has almost zero effect in that instance.
