...about trying to get someone to look at our profession after 17 months of lies and being broken, here is the contact information for SOE, as well as the executives and their positions. All of this information was gotten from SOE's corporate site. The contact information and the names and positions came from the main SOE site if you are interested in finding this for yourself. I kept trying to get the links to work in HTML format, but it kept giving me a forbidden error thing...*sigh*

I intend to write all of these people and share with them EN's collection of Lies and Damn Lies, the Community Letter, as well as my own feelings on this matter. I am tired of sitting here while nothing is getting done and seeing my money go to a company that treatsa portion ofits playerbase like this.
Frankly had the people at SOE been truthful with us about our profession all this time, we'd not have a leg to stand on. But when you have ample evidence of what appears to becarrot dangling to keep people on the books, its time to voicean opinion. Frankly, its been far too long in coming.
I am not trying to start a revolt, nor am I suggesting that any of the correspondents haven't been doing their job in representing us. But I see the frustration and the anger building daily, and it always falls on deaf ears to the people here who represent the company. So, in my mind, its beyond time to take it to the next level and plead our case to get some help. We've been lied to for almost 18 months now, and have been paying for this"honor" all along. That is totally unacceptable and is very unethical.
So if you are at the end, have no more faith, and want to take just one more action, I suggest that you go out, buy a few stamps, take 10 minutes and write a letter expressing your frustration, and send it to these fine people listed above. It most likely won't do anything - but it might. At least we can try.

Unfortunatly, most of those people on the list probably don't give a crap... they probably don't even own the game, let alone know anything about it. Let's face it, as long as we keep paying, it's like saying we agree with everything that's going on. They sit there and laugh, and laugh, that people post threads that complain and whine, yet continue to pay for the game. The bottom line is, there are enough subscribers to justify what they are doing.
Remember Anarchy Online. I was a day one vet there, and stood it out for 5 or 6 months. Talk about a messed up bugged game. Shortly after I left, the game got so bad, and so many people quit, that they released a press release saying that they had fired half (or over half) their staff, and was taking a new approach. Then the game (from what i hear) took a 180, and is a lot better now. (not that i've tried or or are going back to it). But you see my point. In order for anything to get done, it all comes down to money. If they are getting enough, they do what they want. It's when there are no more subscribers that something huge will take effect.
I could be wrong, and this combat revamp could be the save all for the game, but it won't be anything new if it's not. I'll continue to pay basically to talk to my friends, and go into space every once-in-a-while.

I wouldn't waste your time. Just quit the game and stop paying them money. Money talks, and that's why I walked.
Seriously, though, would you pay someone to keep kicking you in the shins for 18 months and tell you that they'd stop some time in the not too distant future? I sure wouldn't.
Aside from that, yes, this profession has been broken since day one, but unfortunately, so has the entire game. NOTHING has worked as it ought to have worked. At this point, I'd say the best move would be to just release SWG II and have it completely ignore SWG I and focus on an entirely different style of gameplay.
As for being lied to, yeah, it sucks, but after 17 months of it, you've got to expect it. I mean, what makes anyone think that THIS time they won't f*** you over and say "Oh, sorry, but the [Insert pointless profession here] patch has to come first." What makes you think that they'll even do what is asked for when they finally DO get around to doing this? Come on guys, read the writing on the wall. Go look at EN's thread. If you're still paying these guys money after reading the whole thing.... Well, at that point, you've got no one to blame but yourself. The history's there in black and white and IN THEIR WORDS.

I will bump and I tell you one person that would mind is the Chief Financial Officer...CFO.......lose gross = lose jobs...its always about the money...when you combine 3/4 of a million people going to WoW and EQ2 and if only 50% of those played SWG the loss adds up pretty dam fast...not that it really matters as individuals but between myself and 4 friends we make up 12 accounts lost to WoW ...AND I dont need 3 accounts to have multiple characters on one server!

when you combine 3/4 of a million people going to WoW and EQ2
___
EQ2 is still owned by the same company - if people feel that badly about SOE stay away from them altogether. When the CFO realizes no one is buying any of their stuff THAT makes the difference.

Not to mince words... but the CFO is not actually occupied with whether or not people are buying the game. That usually falls to the CEO and COO. A buddy of mine who is a CFO calls himself a glorified accountant lol.

Why would any corporate exec care if you switched from SWG to EQ2? They're made by the same company and the money all goes in the common till anyway. Now, WoW or COH, those are different stories...
Here's another deep, dark conspiracy theory for ya.
Maybe SWG was always SUPPOSED to suck. Maybe SOE lobbied hard for the rights because they knew if someone ELSE did the job well, there'd be MAJOR competition with their EQ franchise. They knew EQ2 was on the horizon in a few years, so they pitched for LucasArts to give them the job. Then, they made sure to make the game suck, piss off their customers, etc. The theory being that, as long as EQ2 was good enough, the customers would just leave SWG and not leave SOE products altogether. Unfortunately, their development team for SWG was a little overzealous and some people (like me) will never buy anything with the SOE brand ever again. Because for me, the SOE brand = poor quality product and even worse quality customer service.

That's a good conspiracy theory, actually i could almost believe it
The part they missed is the one when they'll see LucasArts comein the battle and have things been fixed or heads been cut...
Don't underestimate the power of the Dark Side SOE, LA is your father!
