Chance.

A lot of talk has been thrown around about how while we wait... and wait... and wait... and wait some more for our profession to equal its name, we should RP smuggling.

Now I'm not saying that it's not enjoyable or anything. But quite a few people have to be involved in it, and still there's no real difference between the talus thing and this, in terms of smuggling skill. I mean, who judges whether you successfully talked your way out of a situation? you? the "cop"? I mean, logistically, RP smuggling is a pretty big mess. RP'd bounties is a different story, that's pretty simple to work out, as is the "thug" role that some people enjoy. Smuggling is a complicated affair that relies on a number of factors, that in game form, are better measured by rolls of digital dice against skill mods than with subjective decisions made by other players. I'm not saying that an implemented smuggling system couldn't involve other players along the way, and I'm not saying we shouldn't rp as much as possible when smuggling, I'm just saying that even with an RP aspect, a bona fide system for smuggling is very necessary, and have way too much time on my hands to think of crap like this, that honestly has no point whatsoever.

Well, I guess since that had no point, I can use this as yet another thread to SHAMELESSLY plug my idea for CODE SETS, which we would either create using a CODE FORGING SKILL, or earn doing story missions from npcs.
