Thread: I am proud of my fellow smugglers!!!

Last night I started my long grind from novice smuggler up the trees to master, and I must say that at the end of the night (now 0/2/0/3) that I was so very proud to be part of such a great brotherhood of smugglers. Let me go into a brief recap:

I reach Coronet and begin: /yell Opening locked containers for free!!! Upon that time I had 2 smugglers come up to me, explain the tricks of the trade, give me credits and containers to help me along. It is because of them and their willingness to help a fellow smuggler out that I quickly ran through the boxes of slicing and spicing - I have never been so proud to be a part of a profession! No matter what happens with the CU and the smuggler upgrade, I will never leave the smuggler profession!

We may be rogues and shady characters, but to each other we are brothers! How many other professions can honestly say that?

congrats on the boxes

Yea, when a new smuggler joined my guild I gave him a small house full of locked containers. Seemed like the right thing to do as I remembered working on the slicing tree myself. The first taste of slicing can sometimes be the most bitter. My container slicing days were kind of bipolar. Some people would generously give sacks full of containers and not even want them back, while others would whine and complain that they weren't getting paid for giving me a single container (this was during the hologrind). I went bankrupt buying clamps and knives and WUKs, at least twice, thankfully my guild assisted me financially during that rough time. Since then I've had some good customers, some great customers (300k for one good slice), and some lousy customers. But the honor of being a smuggler has been worth it.

lucky you, i remember the hours spent hypnotizing the mission terminal in keren while grinding shadowpaw... by these times there were no smugglers on my galaxy (or not in my playtime) and we didn't know that molecular clamps were not certified (well it wouln't have changed anything since there were no one to craft hem ).

But yes, we are brothers, we stand together shoulder to shoulder because we know we are the best, we know we are the smart ones, and we know we'll get the chick at the end

Congrats...

it really is a great profession, despite said brokeness. I feel like there could be more content, but no way amI complaining I love it. The title in and of itself is quite an accomplishment!

Good luck on all of your future endeavours!!!

Yeah...I've got a basement full of locked containers just aching to be sliced by a novice smuggler. I'm not one of those (HELPER) tag wearers, but something about helping a novice Smuggler get Smugged up just feels right. In fact...I recently had an idea of setting up an entire house for a Novice Smuggler...with the containers I've collected in addition to some crates of supplies, survival knives for griding, some resources for grinding, and maybe a nice pistol or something. It excites me to think about!

And since we're on the subject... What other things would go well in that house?

Amen Brother.

I can't think of a more useless tool (although I'm sure it exists).

and yet I know at least one Smuggler who refuse to use any other pistol then the DL44 and insist we should all do the same.

Mmmm no. I like Han but I am not him, thank you very much. lol

Anyway, good news! I know i have been helped a lot when I started Smuggler, heck I am master now and still some peoples from my PA and town forget it and offer me locked containers. I told them that now I would keep them and give them to a novice smuggler.

It is what I did, yesterday, emptied my reserve of locked containers and added a few crates of mol clamps and precision knives on top of that. The girl was very happy to say the least.

I love this community.
