hello, all smugglers!
i've been trying to be a jedi so i've mastered few professions...... however i realized that grinding is not my thing..so i decided to chose one the most wanted profession. i thought master smuggler is the right one for me so i'm trying to be one. i know many people say it's good to be a master pistoleer to be amaster smuggler. i'm a master TKA right now..do i really need to be a master pistoleer? i'm so tired of getting combat XP......i got novice pistoleer 0/0/2/2 to just get better pistols...should i get more pistoleer skills??? or should i just invest pistol combat xp into smuggler skills...... being a master pistoleer makes that much differences??
please let me know!!!
thank you!!

Putting the pistol exp into smuggler will push you faster to Master Smuggler ( goes without saying.)
All depends on what you want to do as a player; Do you want to do PvE or PvP or do you want to do slices and spices ?
If you are going for PvE - you can do Pistoleer when you are done with smuggler
If you are going for PvP - I actually dont know, never been much into PvP yet.
Smuggler is nice thing to have for slices and such but do not expect much from the combat tree that is last ditch is a killer
Cant say no to a x6 dmg multiplyer.

I was already a TKM when I started smuggler. I mastered Pistoleer before smuggler and it help A LOT with the pistol xp. Once I master smuggler I drop pistoleer. Go up the tech tree of pistoleer and get fanshot, go to dath and take rancor(get in a solo group) and you will be capped on pistol xp in no time.

Here's some advice from someone who is NOT a pistoleer. As an ex-hologrinder you are probably
used to mastering things quickly. The more pistol skills you have, the faster you will master
smuggler. I had nothing but the marksman line of pistols when i started. I did find it helped
to go novice pistoleer + 2 boxes in the fourth tree for the speed (or was it accuracy?).
At any rate, it was the fourth tree. But that is all.. I was able to quickly master smuggler
with just that little bit of pistol.
As far as combat skills, the previous poster is correct. Smuggler is not a combat profession.
Except for the last ditch, it is more of a "let's get out of here" profession. It has a couple
of interesting skills that are hard to classify as combat: feign death, low blow.
Anyway... whatever you decide, good luck!

Yes and if you just wish to be great with you pistol the Master Pistoleer, 0/0/4/0 Smuggler would be your best bet.
