I have been a master smuggler since about February, and have been selling clamps for about 7k,and knives for about 2k. I just got on these forums today, and see that people are selling clamps for about 12k. Am I missing something? That's almost 6cpu....

I sell crates of molecular clamps for 12k. I think that's a fair price, seeing as people are making 10k or moreper slice on my server (Intrepid).

If your main character is on Test Center, you can't use the prices you see here. The economy on Test Center is MUCH different. There are a lot less credits out in the system, and the prices there reflect that.

I still don't consider [Smuggler's Alliance] pilots to be Smugglers, nor 'Smuggling' - at least not any more than Rebel Pilots or Imperial Pilots might sometimes "smuggle", with a lower-case s - JFreeman - 10/6/04

Heh? OK I see this true if a slicer is to lazy or just doesn't want the hassel of laying out a factory, acouple wind gens for power and making there own. But I think the majority of people buying clamps are low level smugglers that can't make them. Only way a lower smuggler makes any money slicing is slicing his missions off a terminal. I don't think I have ever sliced for a 10k improvement on any mission. Ya maybe a few k tops if I am in the solo group but honestly, I don't see this any kind of valid reasoning. That aside your fair to charge what you like. I just wanted to add my opinion that I think your not taking into consideration of the lower level smugglers that can't make there own so have to buy them. Again charge whatever you like you made them and it's your resources and power but not all people buying your clamps are master slicers or master smugglers.

I remember when crates of clamps used to cost 25-30k on my server. So 12k is actually a much lower price than it used to be. And there are actually quite a few smugglers on my server that don't make their own supplies. In their case, instead of having to spend time managing a factory and resources, they can spend that time slicing, or doing janta missions for 30k a pop (or 45k sliced).

If you really want to talk about price gouging, you should complain about the people that charge 6k or more for locked containers.

That being said, if there are any novice smugglers that are truly newbs (not established people with millions of credits) need smuggler supplies or locked containers from me, I give them out freely to those that ask politely.

100 credits / % point is fine if you want (though many call it a noob price) .. but dont say others are over charging. 3.4k for a 34% slice is retarded.

anyways back on topic.. usually pay anywhere from 5-7.5k a crate for clamps. on bria

i agree that 3.4k for a 34 percent is a killer deal. but what would you have for a 12 percent slice. or the dreaded 11 percent?

i am smuggler, fear my cork guns
episode II: i am no longer smuggler i no longer fear the cork guns or the delay on the delay for the revamp.. leave a message after the beep when revamp comes and then i shall return. but then maybe i will show them and do a delay on my return.. ha!!! take that soe (if they have not frustrated me more then i already am)

Well I just came back from not playing the game for about 3-3 1/2 Months and i had busted my tail gettinto smuggler so i could try and help stop the inflation of the Slice Charge.......

so i come back Friday evening sign on and first thing i did was get ready to go buy the supplies i needed for all the slicing i would be needing to do to get to atleast Slicing III by mid this week with out buying Locked COntainers off the bazaar(which i thought they would be around 1.5-3k Tops)... Oh Noy was i wrong every locked container is 6k(why in the lord are they 6k now) and all be dang if ill pay that so i just went around doing missions and before i'd slice the mission terminal for each mission i would get and if i were to pass one on the way to any of my missions i would stop and slice that one too... ok to make this very short and very to the point

I've never really said anything about the prices of Weapon/Armor Slicing but as every person does I've thought why are the prices going from a percentage to a flat rate of 4-9k now days and this is why i think theyve gone up:

1. Smugglers Can Really No Longer Make Ends Meet Selling Crates Of Pixie and Moun.

2. We Get OUR xp from Locked Containers for atleast half the Slicing Branch.

3, The People Of The Galaxy Raise Prices On What It Takes For Us to Get XP Well Vice Versa Back.

4. Last Thing I Kinda Feel Bad For Saying But The More You Whine The HIgher The Prices Go Because There's Always Going To Be A Market For Slicing Especially Armor

So All in All maybe if some werent so greedy with some of the things needed for certain prof's XP Getting Items then just maybe A BIGTIME MAYBE! other prices with in many of the prof's wouldnt inflate like a 50 gallon balloon

Does That Make Any Sense To Yall Cuz Im Not Readig Back Over It To Change It Cuz Then It'll Really Make NO Sense

And I Have Yet To CHange My Sig And The Waypoint for the vendor i had are no longer there including about 10mil in goods and weapons and so forth but I AM BACK AND LOVING EVERY MINUTE OF IT AGAIN!!!

Mnay would say that the customer is paying for the materials and the time spent and that is always the same. I charge 5K per slice, if I get a low slice I roleplay it stating, "I'll give you 2k back if you don't tell anyone were you got that low % slice, I've got a reputation to protect." This usually gets a laugh and a repeat customer.

On Shadowfire I charge the following;

Crate: Clamps 7.5k
Crate: WUK/AUK's 5k
Crate: Survival Knives 5k
Crate: Laser Knives 4k
Crate: Pixie/Muon Gold 5k
Crate: Booster Blue 4k

And yes I was slicing at 100cr per %. I've been a Master for awhile now and usually just slice for friends, Guildmates and a WS who I work side deals with. I will be jacking my prices on slicing to perhaps 200cr per % + a tip request on top of that. Still very fair, but probably underpriced fer some MS's. As for my crates, well, I may be boosting the Clamps to 10k, hard to keep them in stock at the price I have, knives are good where they are, WUK/AUKs perhaps to 6-7k. Spice is dead, but can't go lower if I want a decent profit, so my stock sells slowly. Thoughts anyone?
