Thread: So lets recap...

Since being promised "love" by Q3PO sometime back in August / September, here's what we've got...
Panic Shot / Low Blow placed on 30 second timers.
Granted, it probably needed to be done, and both specials were still useful and were on seperate timers...they just weren't as useful as before.
Feign Death stealth nerfed by improved creature AI.
If I can't see what's after me on my radar, it shouldn't be reaquiring aggro on me when I stand up. Nor should it see me through walls, over hills, or around corners...
Panic Shot rendered useless as a side effect to the Warcry nerf.
No way in hell does this work. If you're attacking one target and fire off PS, now all of his friends are after you too...if they were in the cone of fire. If you hit the target again, the delay breaks. So, try the PS / Peace combo...doesn't work very well...especially with Master Pistol speed. And in a group environment, forget about using PS...even if it sticks, the next shot from your buddy will break it.
Spice incapped by Chef revamp and downer nerf.
The least they could have done is made the regen period part of the downer time...instead of ADDITIONAL time on top of the downer.
And with Publish 9...
Slicing tools now require removal from crates.
The devs completely missed the boat on this one. What we wanted was for PLKs to work correctly with autopull. Now, instead of just manually pulling one tool, we're pulling 3. While this may not seem like a big deal for the devs, obviously none of them play Smugglers...if they did, they would know what a pain this is. I thought the goal was to add FUN to the game. This isn't FUN...this is TEDIUM.
More tedium = LESS fun. Less FUN = Fewer subscribers. Fewer subscibers = Dead game.
I probably missed a little of the "love" that we've been given. But I did get the major points...
It's getting to the point that Smuggler, while remaining a cool profession, is becoming more and more useless/unfun with each patch. The only saving grace right now is the fact that slicing does still work...God forbid they ever actually break it...we'll have nothing left.
I think that sums it up pretty well....
* NOTHING HAS CHANGED IN PRACTICE
* There is a vague note about "tools" not working from crates (tools? what tools? PLKs? WUKs? Clamps? All of the above?)
* NOTHING HAS CHANGED IN PRACTICE
* Its 7:30am pst and the staff probably isn't even in the office yet.
I'm really fed up with all this alarmist and whining **edit** I woke up to this monring... think that means its time for me to take some board-time off /wave
EDIT: WOOT! Lets hear it for the one stars!

ok pulling tools from crates is no big deal, It saves space, i've been doing it all this time. Can you guys find something worth crying over, or are you just trying to buff your post number??
Um...how does this save space?
For example, lets slice a full 9-piece Comp suit...
Client hands you 9 pieces.
Now, I open my backpack and manual pull2 PLKs...that'll give me 10 slices.
In my rootinventory, I have a crate of AUKs and a crate of Clamps.
Total inventory space for the order = 13 slots.
The only clicking I have to do is for the slicing process with 9 extra clicks to get rid of the color palet window that pops up.
After this change (if it does in fact go live and work as stated)
Client hands you the same 9 pieces.
Open backpack, pull 2 PLKs, 9 AUKs, and 9 Clamps.
Total inventory space used = 29 slots.
18 extra double clicks for the AUKs and Clamps and 9 extra clicks to close the 9 color windows.
How does this not change the way that many Smugglers do business? It more than doubles the amount of inventory space you have to keep free and it slows down the process.
Can you say "Pain in the ass"?
Edited for spelling.

Your ignorance is showing.

now who is trying to pad their posts, i hope your not a smuggler, if you are get out, we dont need people like you in the proffesion
I just sliced a weapon and some armor, nothing changed for me on Bria, I left my AuKs, WuKs, and clamps in the crates and the slices went the same way they always did... random as hell but no change as far as having to have your AuKs, WuKs, & clamps unpacked from a crate.
Agerman on Bria

It's in the patch notes...
And just because it isn't working today, doesn't mean it won't start working tomorrow.
As I've already said, I fully expect an announcement from JustG stating that they're going to have to take a mulligan on this patch. There's too many things being reported as not working to believe that this patch went in correctly. They're probably in their post-patch breakdown session now trying to figure out what the best course of action is.

THAT was uncalled for. I'd comment further, but I don't want to get down on that level.
