In my pack i have a crate of clamps, a crate of WUKs, and a crate of laser knives. no single items.
When i slice a weapon, the clamp leaves the crate, the wuk leaves the crate but then...
..nothing happens to the laser knife crate. NO decrease in the number of items it is holding. It has worked like 4 times in a row. I just realized now that i should have tested it up to 5, but i didnt. hah.
Anyone else notice this?

And.... after 5 items, one knife popped from the crate.
Tested twice.
Why would they fix the amount of knives used, but say that we cant use items from crates?
hmmmm

Sounds like a documentation boo boo.
So far it sounds that everything works exactly as it did before...
but laser knives are actually being more user friendly by not autopulling and screwing things up? Is that a correct description of the situation?

I'm going to venture a guess and say that each knife has ten uses. At two uses per slice, that works out to 5 slices per knife. After the fifth slice, a knife should disappear from the crate.
My math is a little sketchy- maybe someone can double-check me. And maybe I misunderstood what was happening.

Maybe I'm crazy, but I thought I noticed it working this way yesterday (I certainly thought I was crazy at the time). Maybe this little change went in as part of the slow leak of patch material they like to do.

Had a guy in my guild try this out and he came up with these same results.
after 10 uses, 1 knife will poof from the crate.

As of right now it seems that it works correctly for the first knife in the crate, and after that the rest of the crate are 1-off duds.
Sorry for leadin y'all on.

If this is true this saves my slicing hassles. Thank you devs for your kindness.
