Well I was dissapointed not to see any Player Smugglers in that feature, but I knew better than that. Two things caught my eye:
1. "The Kobola spice miners sell their spice to the Hutts. " - Perhaps these miners will be one of our contacts once we get our Revamp.
2. The description of the Black Sun has Xizor being dead, when the events leading to Xizor's death take place after Empire, so have we advanced that far along the story line already? I think they were just being lazy, they could've easily left Xizor alive and possibly placed him in the game.

I didn't think about that first one, but your second point is what I was thinking, too. Heck, in the description of Black Sun, they even referenced events that took place AFTER ROTJ!! What I got out of this is that timeline means nothing. Pretty disappointing. Xixor whould have beend a great NPC to interact with... maybe even another themepark or something.

If i'm not mistaken, Xizor is actually in the game already. I'm pretty sure I talked to him about a year ago inside the Hotel at either Coronet or Tyrenna. Very similar to the Valarian mini-themepark missions. He used to look like a Bothan or Shistavanen in a heavy hooded cloak.
I suppose they might have pulled him from the game or something, but i doubt it. I haven't been on for a while, but you might want to check it out.

Bothan or Shstavanen? Of all the things that Xizor's supposed to be furry is DEFINITELY not one of 'em. He's Faleen, and that means cold-blooded of reptillian descent. Don't know what's up with the knot of hair on his head though... but then again, what's up with rodians having breasts? Do Mon Cal's have 'em, too? 'Cuz that'd just not be right.

actually they did remove the breasts from all non-mammal species before the game hit live. However I do recall seeing female rodians with breasts......curious......
And about Xizor being dead, yeah I noticed that the first time I read it. I also noticed that all of the events they talk about in the Black Sun profile take place AFTER rotj, if I'm not mistaken.....sorry to be picky but I'm also a star trek fan so for me, mosteverything has to be canon.

I think the "Additional Information" area is just for the players to learn about the groups. Someone who hasn't read Shadows of the Empire or some other EU books might not know what Black Sun is. It's OOC information for the simple fact that Xizor kept his control of Black Sun a secret from everyone except his Vigos. The galaxy in general didn't know he was connected to Black Sun. They just knew him from his legitimate business, Xizor Transportation Corporation.

If you worked for the Hutts you knew too... or probably any well connected underworld organization.

yeah the whole Xizor being dead thing totally ruined my day.
a friend and i JUST got this fun Roleplaying group/storyline/idea off the ground. in it, we ran a powerful criminal organization which was previously broken up by Xizor. now we're arch-rivals of Black Sun, and especially Xizor.
so i guess they're not sticking to any specific timeline, and we're just floating around in a messy ball of Star Wars references?

I went out last night and killed a few of the criminals... didn't seem to be worth anything, no loot, no credits... so I just stopped.

I can understand that, but the fact that they left out specific details about the destruction of Xizor's Skyhook and named Darth Maul in the assasination of Alexi, makes me believe they wrote those details as if to imply them into the current timeline. I understand the EU stuff is often time thrown out the window by Lucas, but EU has always been true to other EU. It just seems they closed the door on Xizor and now they may not even have a chance to open it back up again.
If anyone does see him in game let us know.

Maybe not...one of the criminals on Talus, where I live, looks just like my toon, down to the bandolier...and my guild, which is a smuggler's syndicate, has been role playing an increased smuggler presence on Talus. I'm sure it's just coincidence...
