i'm sick and tired of fighting.
i'm sick and tired of being upset.
i'm sick and tired of being frustrated with this game.
tiggs' post here, while vague and brief, did give us information.
the majority of player have been asking for bug fixes over new content. and i don't think that's neccessarily a bad thing. yes our revamp is postponed/delayed/moved out over a long term blah blah blah...
that's all semantics, doublespeak, doing your best to not start a riot.
so our revamp is postponed.
we all knew that was the case even before tiggs posted here.
i've got over a month left on my main account. i'm gonna try to get in game more often in that time and really try to have fun with other aspect of the game, and not dwell on lack of Smuggling.
that doesn't mean i'm not totally dissappointed in SOE's lack of effort to get us Smuggling.
but it does mean that i'm sick and tired of feeling bad, and i just want to have fun.
SWG isn't perfect, but it's the only Star Wars MMORPG out there. and pretty much the only MMORPG i have any real interest in playing.
so i'm gonna play my Smuggler heart out till the end. and if i see any improvement in SOE's communication or publishes i'll consider un-cancelling. already in the past few days we've seen a bit more communication. although it's not what we wanted to hear, it's still communication.
if it's only a fluke and they go back to their old stonewalled ways, i'll walk away on September 2nd, but if not, i'm gonna keep on keepin on.
i just had to get that off my chest.i've been thinking about thison overdrive the past few days.

Postponed???
I don't believe it is postponed. That would imply that it was going to be worked on at some point. I now believe that any "smuggler revamp" has been completely removed from any project plan that exists at SOE.

Good luck to you. I honestly hope they come through but it isn't a hope I'm willing to bet my time and energy on.

oh i'm fully confident that they won't come through with the revamp. tiggs sorta vaguely said that.
and i'm pretty sure they won't come through with fixing bugs, or adding much in the way of content any time "soon"(tm).
i've just decided to stop worrying about it, and enjoy the last month or so of my subscription. and if i happen to notice an improvement, i'll resubscribe.

Ya know, I stopped and thought about it for awhile this morning, I have been a starwars fan since I saw it in a drive-in at 5 yrs old. I had to have every toy I could get my hands on then. When I first heard about SWG, I about flipped, I was excited about being able to to get my YT1300 falcon style'd ship, and smuggle things past the blockade runners, and do the Kessel run, and Fight against bounty hunters and crimelords. I first logged in and created my weaponsmith/smuggler.Remember in the days of RUNNING to the content not riding a mount or a vehicle. Then i started looking for the content on how to start actually smuggling. I am STILL looking for it. StarWars has always been and will always be the only SciFi space fantasy world thatI truly love. I am not a trekkie so the though of that one doesn't do it for me. I am not upset with Tiggs per say other than the fact that she ignored us for so long without even commenting to us at all. What I am upset by is the fact that SOE has lied to us once again. Tiggs said something about making the entire playerbase happy and having More players? Hmmm I look at the commercials and the Only thing I am seeing for the More players they are tryin to get is JEDI BS, I have worked at being positive, at trying to Believe that the Devs would oneday show the love they need to our profession. but the comment about More players and that we would like that better than FIXING our BROKEN PROFESSION, come on. I especially liked the NO NEW CONTENT until the bugs are fixed, well maybe except for the new Valarian quests.. ooops guess ya missed that one huh? I continue to play SWG not because of smuggling but because I have a responsibility to my guild. IF SOE would get off of their 4corner contact, they would realize that yes the Jedi are happier now, and the BH's are NOT, and the rest of the players, well as long as they Jedi dont bug them too much are happier now, but what about the Redheaded stepchildren Smugglers? We should allll just roll over be happy because the rest of the game is getting fixed, when we have been waiting for 2 years to get our content fixed? Ok, one more reason... some of these guys just need One more reason to tell SOE, L/A to go shove it. Never shoot the messenger is what Ive always been told. BAH!, Wounding the Messenger is a sure fire way of Ensuring the messege is recieved!
