Thread: It's not so much that we DID get POSTPONED but...

how it came about that really points to an utter lack of respect for us on the part of SOE.


They put up two In Concept posts then let us discuss them for FIVE MONTHS.


Not ONCE did they respond to our discussions.


Then both posts disappeared without ANY explanation.


Immideately following that we got a watered down version of the slicing concept and NOT ONE WORD about the smuggling content.


Now, a few months later, Tiggs comes here with a lame this isn't "postponed" just pushed back a little.


How LONG ago did they know they were going to do this?

Why no communication during the past eight months as to changes to In Concept?

because there incompatent ? because they dont care ? because they love jedi so much ? because they ran out of rum ? because they knew they would screw us over from launch day ? because for the past 2 years they have lied to us ? because they have led us on ?

Face it. SOE believes 'Jedi' is where the money is at. They keep saying, 'We want to bring in new players for you to play with. We are doing this for you.' Yet, they are completely screwing the current players over, in their quest to bring in 'new money'. In the end, they'll be happy when we finally cancel...and they get all their new kiddies logging on playing 'Jedi-Wars'. The question remains...how long will the game live with this dumbed-down content? How will SWG compete when their game looks just like all the other MMORPGs out there, just withdifferent names and graphics. How sickening is it to come to the realization that, to the devs, our profession has all along been seen simply as 'Enchanter'. This has been the grand vision from beginning. *puke*

I think the real crime here is that this would have been fun and in the long run great for the game. Each profession should have a role. Want to have Jedi interact with smugglers? Change the system from no group visabilty to grouping with a Smuggler makes you aviod visabilty. Sure Smuggling Jedi is not my prefered option but at least it would be smuggling SOMETHING.


There where so many places where a Smuggler could have been used and honestly SOE never even tried. They dumbed down the game reduced it to grinding exp and STUPID make this guy walk across the planet quests or boring slaughter 25 of these animal quests.


SWG was different even with its flaws pre CU now its being turned into every other game. Stand in line to do your quest or worse steal some one elses place and line and do the quest. This type of game play is why I left EQ SOE seems intent to make the same mistakes in SWG.
