There are definitely some good points being made about how long we've waited for the Revamp, and how it appears to be a very low priority for SOE. Zane made some excellent points (as usual) and summed up the situation in a pretty mature and effective manner. Buttoday's personal attacks on Tiggs make a lot of you look like hypocrites after all the fawning and praising you were doing just a few weeks ago.
None of this takes away from my disappointment regarding more delays for Smuggler content, but I have to be honest and admit that I am equally disappointed in the "face" of Smugglers today. We may have a common cause, but I definitely don't want to be lumped in with a lot of the immaturity that is being exhibited.
Those who are personally offended by what I've said in this post should know that I did not write it to specifically attack any individual, but if the shoe fits feel free to wear it. I will not be responding to any flames, so if it makes your guilty conscience feel better to flame me then have at. You will only be driving my own points home for me.
Actualy i bet that it wouldnt be that bad at all if she would have come first to here and talked to us about our revamp and its getting postponed. The bad part is that it needed some heat in the other forum to get her to here and talk to us. Heck.. she could had told Wes whats ups. She didnt do.. and she realy didnt talk to us either. read her posts.. Tiggs should sign up for next run toPresident. Hollow, meaningless words.....

Point me to where in the past there was a statement that officially said "we're concentrating on fixes and pushing new content for smugglers further out"
I'm not trying to get all defensive here - but I do feel that Tiggs slipped here. And as far as I know - No, this isn't rehashed information, this is the first I've heard of it.
The rest of your email - I agree with - but just have to take exception to that line.

Frankly, if I were running a company with as much angst I think I would be looking for someone else.
I think I'm more pissed at Lucas for licensing SW to SOE in the first place. SOE's track record has always been to release half-@$$ed content and promises to keep those subscriptions rolling in while the customer base waits for what was promised. Why bother producing content when you can collect money for just promising it. Let's face it, from the over 20 posters in this forum that have paid for "upcoming" content for the last 2 years they've collected over $7,000. Multiply that over all the professions and multiply again for the other 90% that don't post...
If L/A had licensed SW to a company that would actually produce content and make a fun game... /sigh
But, since L/A doesn't post in these forums, and I'm paying SOE to give me the content they advertised, the Director of Customer Relations deserves all the brunt of 2 years of frustration.

Yes, Angus.. she is just the mouthpiece as you put it. but its her job to communicate with us.. atleast i hope so. and thats what she isnt doing. if you drive over your neighbors dog you dont give the boy on the walkway a nickelso that hetells your neighbor that you flattered his dog. you do it yourself. In this certain case, how long are we trying to get somekind of Response, Angus? and how we got it? Basicly thru the boy on the walkway.. someone found her response in a thread over in a different forum.
No, the really sad part is that Tiggs obviously has no issue with the lies and deception that she is called on to use in her job. Do I think she's a horrible person? Never met her so I can't say. DoI think she's a willing participant in the crap that's going on here? Absolutely.
Thankfully I've only had one job that asked me to do things I didn't think were Right. I walked. If she doesn't agree with the crap that SOE/LA is pulling, then she needs to not be a part of it. Until then, yes -- she is part of the problem.
As for Wes, I will personally assist in the beat-down of any punk who goes after him. Wes deserves nothing but support from this community.

QFE.. i realy admire him for his Patience and staying calm on this topic.
What's really unforunate is that both Wes and Tiggs are nothing more than meatshields for SOE screw-ups. I'm not sure of what Tiggs has done behind the scenes for us (though admittingly I'm not optimistic at all) but Wes has apparantly rolled with the punches and I appreciate that.
Neither of them deserve any backlash for developer/publisher ineptitude, they're just the messengers.. but I'll state yet again that I do not appreciate exactly how all of this came outfrom Tiggs in the first place. The way it did represents one giant backhanding of the smuggler community, which is understandably outraged.It stands to question as to whether her hands are tied behind her back, though.
Anyway, yeah, more beer for Mr. Wes plz. In fact, get the lad one of those beer hats and pimp it out.
There was a time when I'd have agreed with you about Tiggs, but no longer. She is clearly part of the problem and deserves her share of the blame. period.
