I hope this is not considered bad policy posting here since i am not a smuggler
I was wondering if i could make a suggestion on how spices work.
Spices=drugs
Spices are very inexpensive and used much less than foods/drinks
So my suggestion is that you should be able to take spices during spice "downtime" to bring you the spice buff back. Each time however increasing the spice "downer time" by 50%.
It would be like this
take spice +600 health etc etc for 20 mins (total 3600 health)
downer time is 40mins -600
take spice and downer time is eliminated buffs health +600 for 20 mins (total health back to 3600)
downer time is 60 mins (40 mins plus 50%) and health reduction is 900 (total health 2100)
I hope this has not been mentioned many times and is not flamed to death
I jsut see this as a way of actually using spices more effectively and increasing revenues for smugglers who actually craft these kinds of things for cash.
Spices should be drugs and when used should have the effects of drugs. you should be able to take them when "down" and then should buff your health.. and when withdrawing from the "drug" spice you should be able to take another to negate the effects of the spice. Only there should be a compounding cost to staying on the spice.
Plz let me know if this idea is a good one or has already been rejected.

Waste of time.
We've already been told that there will be no new content for smugglers.

just thought that since it seems chefs have had changes concerning thier content on buffs as it relates to all toons, i thought that maybe such a universal buff would do well for smugglers pocketbooks if given more usability.

Considering that spice downtime is like a minute and doesn't really do all that much, i don't think it makes much of a difference as is.
If the downtimes were longer to start with, then maybe it would be viable, but otherwise it's a moot idea currently. Sorry.

While we appreciate you coming in here with nice ideas for our profession, and adding them to the wonderful ideas already here, it is a pointless endeaver. The Devs have told us that anything for smuggler has been 'moved out to a longer term implementation.' As it has been 2 years already, we can only assume that 'longer term implementation'means more time than that, perhaps 3-5 years. Please come back an re-present your idea sometime around the year 2010.
