Thread: Is master smuggler worth it?

Under the skill windows, Master Smuggler doesn't seem to do anything but give a title.

Being as how I'm coming down to my last Skill Points to spend, what should I do? I got smuggler for slicing, so my question is this:

Should I spend all my skill points to get master Smuggler because it makes slices that much better.... OR, can I save some SPs and just get slicing 4?

Basically, does master smuggler give any skills, commands, and/or abilities (like slicing) even though it doesn't list them?

Thanks!

a master smuggler get higher av slices and can get higher slices a master can get 35% on weapons and armor effect and 45% on armor encumb.

You get better prices on faction percs 25% discount i think.

Basically at this point in time smuggler especially master lacks alot, but if you like pain, agony, getting lied to for 9 months in a row, and maybe a small heart attack then smuggler is the prof for you

Im having a blast with my smuggler, jsut thought i should add that after the slight drunken rant above here.

yeah it depends on your devotion to the trade, if your just doing your own slicing or if your going into buisness.......its your call.

I know I'm in it for the lies and the small heart attacks. I don't get enough of that from my family and work life.

Seriously though I only use the underworld line for selling fp which is very profitable. The slicing line is of use to anyone even if you just want to do it for yourself and friends. The pistol line... well low blow and last ditch aren't bad but basically the line is only useful if you are into pistol weapons. The spice line is as close to completely worthless as any line in the whole game thanks to the utter lack of interest in them by the player base thanks to the chef revamp. So for me I only keep master smuggler for the 5% slicing bonus which can be a really big deal when you get that 35% damage slice. Otherwise I'd drop the spice line atleast and maybe the pistol line and take up rifles or put the points into something else of use.

If you like slicing for money, or for yourself (for combat) then master smuggler is worth it for the 5% slicing bonus.

If you have lots of master smuggler friends, you can get by without the slicing line or the spice line. You also don't need the underworld line unless you are aRebel/Imperial colonel and areinto faction point sales.

I think the biggest thing with master smuggler is that you get the 5% slicing increses most people I know would look for a master smuggler long before they would look fora slicer. But basicly that is the biggest thing you get with master. Hope I helped at all.

Expect this to be cool and colorful? Well me too, sorry!

Depends on your fighting preference... didn't even do tka myself (got sick of fist-fighting grindduring the unarmed pre-requesits), and i'm still pretty effective as a blaster jockey.

If your not interested in role playing, master smuggler might not be for you. Being a smuggler is a way of life not just a profession. We obviously don't do it for the "uberness" of it that's for sure.
