I am exceedingly sad at the state of our profession, and I am hope TH is reading the thread he started in the community forums about ideas for smuggler revamp a thread he said he would revisit before and after JTL, lets see if he does anything about it.
Thanks again my fellow smugglers, may we one day be allowed to live up to our name.

Names Delarrianna, at least my smuggler's name is Delarrianna, anyway. I have been posting on my galaxy forums, and havent gotten too into the profession forums. I love Smugglers, as a little girl I had a huge crush on Han Solo. Something about a Harrison Ford bad boy...same with Indi...anyways....I am sticking it out on smuggler. I am waiting for the fix and I am praying it is done right...(though I fear for the eventual foobar). Can anyone take a moment to tell me the state of the smuggler forum, and the state of the devs opinion on our fix ideas. Currently as you saw I am an advocate of Kav's idea. And I ask you not to send me to posts with thousands of replies. I dont want to spend 10 hours reading old posts, someone or anyone just pop in and toss this girl a rundown, so I can be a more active part of the change I'd like most to see happen. Smugglers becoming smugglers.....
Smiles to the gathering of shady characters,

The state of the Smuggler forum: Most of us long-time smugglers have become bitter cynics because of the Dev's lack of communication regarding the problems (which they have created) in the profession. We remain a tight knit bunch despite the dev's inability to communicate with us and we soldier on...
and the state of the devs opinion on our fix ideas.
Devs: "Fixes? What are those? Wait...we HAVE Smugglers in this game?"
We have a revamp that is currently unscheduled except to say that it's Post-JtL (otherwise known as the day after never). Beyond that, we can't even get someone assigned to fix something that the broke in the last publish.
Currently as you saw I am an advocate of Kav's idea. And I ask you not to send me to posts with thousands of replies. Thank you Drevan and I hope I find a good welcome in the community, so far I have to say this is the most civil, wonderfully constructive forum I have yet visited and I am glad to be a part of it now.

You are most welcome to the community. Any Smuggler will find a good home here...unless they're the type that likes to give Smugglers a bad name by stealing people's gear and such...
We generally keep the claws retracted unless someone comes in accusing us of being thieves or accusing us of over-pricing our services, or some other stupid claim...
And the claws really come out for the Devs...we gave up cutting them slack long ago...so they generally avoid us now...

ThunderHeart knows good and well the state of the smuggler profession. We post after everything he posts. Go hit the dev tracker to check out the latest debate with him. It a good read. Welcome to the smuggler profession and we hope to see you become a contributing member of the forums.

Why not? We bathe, really!

A wise decision
I am waiting for the fix and I am praying it is done right...(though I fear for the eventual foobar).
As do we all!
Can anyone take a moment to tell me the state of the smuggler forum, and the state of the devs opinion on our fix ideas.
- General Timeline for Revamp: Sometime 2005. My best guess is February and I feel that is being optimistic.
- Combat changes to smuggler will take place at the Combat Revamp. We should have quite a few things to look forward to.
- JTL: We won't have anything for our profession at launch.
Smuggler Forum: Great community, very helpful unless the person is a dev other than GreenMarine orasks...
- Does quality matter on slicing tools?
- Is power-up slicing legal?
- Is there a difference between Slicing 4 and Master?
In which case we tend to tear into them like a pack of wolves. We have lost some great community members the last few months who simply couldn't take the awful communication any longer. Names such as Solo4114 and ElectricNomad you will still find mentioned.
Currently as you saw I am an advocate of Kav's idea.
Can't go toowrong there

Well, check out the important links sticky if you haven't gone through it already. Go through the main three proposals if you haven't done so, one of which is Kav's. Most of what I work towards isbased on those.
From there, check out the 'Correspondents Only' post in important links. That will link you to most relevant parts of where we stand, though I have been swamped on my end and have not updated it with comments such as 'We aren't getting jack at JTL launch' (loosely translated) and our recent developments with auto-pull being disabled. Other than those, it's has almost everything else as far as what devs have told us.
Somewhere on here is my problems list for August... I need to get that linked and post the updated version. I'm getting sloppyShould help you see almost anything that is messed up.

Wow Caylin, Again I feel honored, our corrspondant now welcomed me, as for the rundown you gave me. THANK YOU! I read all the stickies and I am seeing a good amount of cohesion in our profession, I cannot express how happy this makes me. I am looking forward to brain storming with you all and communicating with you all over the next weeks, months and maybe years.
Smiling as Always,
Delarrianna
