See, although I'm a smu....err... treasure hunter... and I can open exotic locked magseal containers, it seemed at first it wasn't worth it. Most of what was in it was worthless but then I came across IT.

It's beauty made me rush to it, that wonderful "seems to be locked" magseal container!

*GASP*

It seems the locking mechanism is broken! Drat... this pathetic metal box is keeping me from the inevitable crap within! What do I do!? After maybe half an hour of trying to slice it and 15 minutes of doing /smuggleand getting the same "There is no command, chat type, mood: smuggle" I decided to move on... then I found another IT! hoping that lightning can't strike me down twice, I attempted to open it!

...*gasp*

Nope, this one is broken as well... Drat, some miscreant must have come here and done some damage. On to the next area.

Gosh! there are quite a few of the locked ones here! I should be bound to get one open, right?

...*yawn*

Great, now the devs broke the "treasure hunter" profession before it was born!

plus the obvious slap in the face --->NOT working 'slice' option on radial menu... so we are 'slicers' unable to open stuck tin can... delightful

agreed, I had a problem slicing a proton carb the other day, I couldn't get the slice menu to pop up! every other weapon I tried worked but not this one! I think it was one of the original ones you had to bio-link but I'm not sure

Heh. I thought it was just me. A few days ago someone wanted me to complete a slice on his powerhammer, only the lvl 1 critical, lvl 1 spdand the lvl 3 dmg left to do.

And since I couldn't remember what component I'd need for the lvl 1 critical, I tried to open the slice menu on a CDEF I have in my backpack to check before I went to meet him. Didn't work
In the end I just went to Theed without checking and then promptly had to return to my house for a Finely Crafted Toolset because that was the one component I didn't have in my inventory

But anyway: the CDEF was definitely NOT bio-linkable Although it was a pre-CU one, maybe that's why...

Sort of in the same vein...I was slicing someone's lot quest rifle a couple of days ago in the MO...one of the ones worth a cpl mil...finsh slicing it, go to trae it back, and can't trade with the guy. Checked with a couple of friends in the are, none of them could trade either...ended up having to take the guy to my house, put him on the admin list, and drop his rifle, me standing next to the house terminal the whole time to pull him off the admin list as soon as he picked it up....lot's of fun.
